Lice and the NarcBioMom

SteptoThis's picture

(Moderators: I split this into paragraphs and it's not doing that when I submit it FYI)

Never dealt with lice before.  I'm 35 and I only got it once LAST YEAR.  No big deal.

My skids get it.

all. the. time.

No big deal.  I realize that's it's not necessarily a hygiene thing.

The twin girls Diablo got it last year and gave it to me (fun!).  HCBM called in January of this year and informed us that twins had it again.  CONVENIENTLY, they were with mom for 2 weeks when this happened, so we KNOW that it didn't come from us--bm even said that they contracted it from school.  but we took precautions anyway-- treated ourselves, treated my biokids, stuffed animals, brushes etc, we did it all-- just to be safe.  Even had biokids dads home informed so they could treat their kids.

WEEK1: The skids came for their normal weekend.  We checked their hair. Saw nothing.  Kids went home. BM texts on Sunday night: "you didn't get rid of the lice problem and now the twins have live lice on their hair because you didn't take care of the problem"

REPEAT TREATMENT. ALL OF IT.

WEEK 2: Skids come for their normal weekend. we check their hair. nothing.  Kids go home. BM texts on Sunday with pictures this time: "I just found these adult lice on the twins. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take care of this. I can't keep doing this."

WEEK 3: DH takes the leap to forgo his weekend with the kids so that we can do a deeper cleaning (whatever the EFF THAT IS). We treated ourselves AGAIN (never found nits or lice on us). We treated biokids and made sure THEIR dad was informed as well.  (meanwhile, my kids' dad and I are working together and communcating about what we're doing about the problem).

WEEK 4: skids come back for their weekend.  no lice. no eggs. NOTHING.  Silence from BM.

WEEK 5: skids come for their normal weekend. All seems ok. checked hair to be sure. Nothing. skids go home on Sunday.

Monday morning BM emails DH SEVEN PARAGRAPHS about how she found 12 LIVE LICE ON THEIR HEADS after they were dropped off (really? and you're just NOW teling us the NEXT DAY??!!)  and how we are not taking care of the problem.  DH and I don't have it. My kids don't have it. my kids father and his wife don't have it THEIR KIDS don't have it. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL EFF???????

DH thinks she's lying.  for whatever reason.

So here we go again.  But I'm so tired of this.

Have been in this exact position. It was like every month, only we never had an issue. My bios, us, their Dad's, hell even HCBM's own skids other home. Now how can that be? How can 3 totally separate but related households not have an issue yet the claim of lice is out of control? We consulted a professional who stated it was impossible.

We finally concluded that HCBM was using lice for attention. Each time she would claim there was a lice issue we were NEVER able to substantiate it. Not once!

So we began to ignore her. Didn't respond and acted as if it never happened.

And guess what - there has not be an issue since. It is going on a year! Imagine that *mosking*

The level of crazy these women go to is mind blowing.

DH just responded  "ok. we have about as much control over the other kids' home as you do over ours.  we will let the other family know."

Suggest to her that she treat the upholstery in her vehicle since the skids magically get lice after your place has been cleaned.

I, too, never had lice as a kid. One of SD's friends came over and spent the night. Everyone in the house got them. Tea tree oil, Listerine, and coconut shampoo after everyone has been combed out.
