Last night, I took a brief break from studying for finals to chat with FDH. We are both sarcastic jokers, and during the course of the conversation I made a few jokes about BM and FSIL (cut from the same cloth, and buddy buddy to boot!).

FDH responded with, "What is this, crum on my family day?"

Yep, idiot, BM is your family. Because that whole divorce and restraining order thing meant nothing.

This is really bothering me and I feel like maybe I'm overreacting; I'd welcome any perspective the wise ladies (and gents) here can offer.

So here's the situation: I work full time and am in school to boot. This means my schedule right now is hectic, to say the least. Mondays through Wednesdays are long days for me - usually 13+hours, with me not getting home until well past 8pm. Thursdays are a little better because I don't work, but I do have school, and so it's another night I get home past 8. I work on Fridays but don't have class, so I'm usually home shortly after 6.

sometimes I wonder why I deal with skids and bm shit that comes with FDH.

And then we have days like today.

On the surface, pretty crappy. We woke up for the 2nd day in a row to a clogged toilet. Like overflowing with shit clogged. Thanks skids! Still not sure how a toilet clogs overnight but whatever.

Anyway, it turned into a major disaster. And I tend to gget panicky/bitchy about situations like that. but FDH handled it all with grace and humor, and made me laugh all day.

And we had the most mind blowing sex, twice. Above all else, that man knows how to treat a lady in bed.

I feel lucky.

I UNLEASHED on FDH last night

I blogged yesterday about how BM basically screwed the skids and FDH over by stealing their day camp money and using it for herself, and how he was just letting her get away with it.

I sat and thought and thought about it, and got more and more angry, and it dawned on me that this is just a symptom of a much bigger issue between us. The long and short of it: he's hesitant to have a child with me (I have no bios but would love one; I went through infertility/miscarriage hell with my exH) but he had two with that worthless POS.

FDH is everybody's cash cow

So, BM was *supposed*to be handling getting the skids signed up for day camp for the summer. She lied to FDH and said it was all done and set in stone weeks before school ended for the summer. We found out the Friday afternoon before the week it should have started that in fact, she had not gotten them registered because “they were full.”

We were getting in the pool tonight after spending the day going through all the hassle of buying a car. Skid2 asked me if I preferred being an adult to being a kid. I told him that as a kid I always wanted to be a grown-up, but now that I am an adult, I'd like the freedom of being a kid. He said "if you could magically be a kid now, you'd be my best friend. Of course, you're like my best friend now so it wouldn't change anything. "

Is it wrong?

I gotta say, skid2 is my favorite. By far. He is a sweet, smart, easy to love kid. And I do love him. He is thoughtful, kind and funny, and generally no trouble.

Skid1, not so much. He's brought a lot of stress and drama into our lives, and while he does have a loveable side, it's not the same as skid2.

I do feel slightly guilty about it, though. Parents aren't supposed to have favorites. But I'm not *really* a parent, so it's ok, right?

Where does BM's $$ go?

1. She gets the skids every other weekend, except summer, when custody is 50/50

2. She pays no CS, and nothing towards the maintenance of the skids. FDH buys ALL of their clothes, shoes, winter gear, etc.

3. She gets $500/mo in food stamps for kids she hardly ever sees.

4. She has NO credit card debt because FDH took it all on in the divorce just to be rid of her.

5. She has no student loan debt because, well, she's too much of a moron to go to school beyond high school.
