So tired of this!

Every time DH has visitation with Skids he comes home with ringworms an/or a cold....I am so tired of sterilizing and bleaching every other weekend. Has anyone else experienced this madness?

With all the 100's of trips to the doctor's you'd think they'd be free of sickness and disease!

Seriously? Two years later...talk about delayed reaction.

So, its a skid free weekend and everyone is tooling along just fine, when BM graces us with her telephonic presence. She called to ask DH to call SS10 because he has been crying for three days straight and talking about how he wishes his parents were still together "like everyone else's" AND Dh fell for it.......sigh.

Just saying.....

On DH's weekends, he travels a long distance to get skids then stays at MILs for the weekend since it is midway between us and them. Although I am pleased that skids are there instead of here, I hate these weekends when he's away.

Just needed to let that out.....

GROSS!!!!!!!

BM contacted DH to let him know that skids won't be down for visitation because SS10 has the flu and SD6 has 12, yes TWELVE RINGWORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now he understands why I strip them down and bathe them when they arrive. Luckily, because of distance, DH has been doing the majority of visitation at MIL's which is almost halfway, so aside from scrubbing him down when he returns, we should be in the clear.

Gross!

Say what?

Can anybody think of old sayings that sounded dumb when we were younger, but make a lot of sense now and even reflect our step-situations in some way. I was thinking about some things that my Grandma used to say and, at the time, they were just funny little expressions that made her even more endearing....However, I find myself using some of those expressions....a lot!

1. Don't that beat all! Meaning- is that the craziest, most whacked out, insane bs yu've ever heard????!!!!!

Does your DH?

Seem to think that his custody, visitation arrangement is the WORST of all time????? I spend countless hours per year trying to get him to realize that there are plenty of good men, good fathers who have it waaaaaaay worse than he does.

I am constantly reminding him what it means to get divorced and how he walked into it with eyes wide open. Why can't he just be thankful that BM pawns them off on us anytime she wants to go out and have a good time? That's a lot more than some dads get!
