SD9's birthday is in 3 months. she wants to do a slumber party at our place. It will be the first time we celebrate her birthday that involve her friends and an actual party. I don't mind putting it together but there's a catch..... }:)

Miss thing has been acting up a lot lately more towards her father then me and I'm just sick of it already. So I'm thinking of canceling it and have her mother do something for HER daughter instead of me having to do it. Which will be slim because BM hates doing anything that requires some work effort.

I'm very fortunate to have a wonderful mother in law to be. I absolutely love that women and with good reason. She is a sweet, supportive, giving, caring, understanding person who hates the ex-wife with all her might. (that's a bonus for me! lol) I hate to say this but I would have rather had her as a mother then the one I actually have.

How do you tell you skid to treat her/his father with respect without stepping over your boundaries as a step parent?

I have this issue at home. And I don't
want to step on my fiancee's toes. I usually let him handle it but his approach never seems to work. He's grown tired of SD9's behavior and so have I.

Its early in the morning and we are all getting ready for the day. My Fiancée is in the shower and I'm walking the dog near our home when I hear yelling coming from SD9's room. DAD...DAADD... So I get back inside and yell WHAT!!! WHY ARE YOU YELLING!! She looks at me (with puppy dog eyes...That shit doesn't work on me.) and tells me she needs daddy to get her the blue shirt she wants to wear to school. When its literally Right in front of her over her bed post!!! AHHH! WTF! I looked at her in shock/anger and asked her are "you joking?! Its right in front of you, get up and get it yourself!
