Does anyone else have significant issues with your "in-laws" regarding Step Kids??

My in laws absolutely worship the ground Step Snot walks on and think she is just perfection incarnate..She is the "favorite" grand child and equally worshiped by other family members. They, of course, never believed in telling her "no" or having any rules or expectations for her.

DH and I were talking last night and I told him that I think his daughter needs to learn to "not bite the hand that feeds her" and that everything isn't going to be handed to her on a silver platter! I told him that I REFUSE to do ANYTHING that equates with doing for her in a parental capacity.

Personally, I just don't understand him or so many other parents out there who seem hell bent on raising lazy kids, with expensive taste, who just think everything should be handed to them...SO many parents seem to encourage narcissism and feelings of "entitlement" in their children!!

So, last Wednesday I go looking for my converse sneakers to wear for the day. I wore them the day before and suddenly they are no wear to be found. I looked every where in the house for them and they are gone..It suddenly dawns on me that Step Snot has been "bugging" for a pair of converse for herself since she has already destroyed her other pair. They were a pair just like mine and in face I bought her and I are pairs of converse at the same time. (Mine is a size 9 and hers was a size 8.)

Sunday night my BD completed a homework essay on the computer and decided to just print it out Monday morning to take to school with her..It's a good thing that she decided to proof read it again before printing it out and taking it to school to turn it because she discovered that "someone" had gone onto the computer and "messed with" her assignment..She showed it to me and sure enough it had been "tampered with" and there were cuss words added to several parts of the paper!!
