The spectre of adult SD and her exaggerations (lies) returns

DEDT's picture

Just having a wee vent. Oh okay a HUGE vent then. Since disengaging earlier this year I've done pretty well mostly, but last night DH told me that his daughter had telephoned to say she'd had an abnormal smear test. So guess who's racing over to visit her and her mum (his ex) tonight to discuss and console because she's so upset about it! He couldn't visit her last night because she was going out (hmmm shows just how upset she was huh?).

Arrrgggghhhh - was so looking forward to a clear weekend this coming weekend (having just been to two DH's family events this weekend). But today DH has arranged with his BD (my nightmare SD) to pick up his 3-yr-old GS this Friday, to stay until Sunday - and for some reason he didn't check with me first. I love GS dearly (even tho' he's not my biological GS), but really needed some down-time this weekend, and DH knew this cos we talked about it. Oh dear. This is the third time in as many weeks that DH has made arrangements without discussing with me first - I'm wondering why.

Adult stepdaughter issues

My first blog entry! First, I have to say what a life-saver this website has been for me – I only discovered it last week! So nice to be able to vent for the very first time in six years knowing that folk will understand. I have felt very alone with my 25-yr-old SD issues, and was despairing that anyone “out there” understood. Now I realise that my SD problems are unfortunately all too common.
