Ok, SD had to have some diagnostic testing done recently. We received a txt from BM saying she had to pay $350 uninsured part upfront and asked dh for help. He didn't respond. A) SD is 21 1/2 yrs old- if she needs money she needs to ask him b) he has really good insurance so I couldn't fathom this test not paid....(e-rays, cat scans, are 100%)

There was a precertification done but it didn't tell how much was authorized. The EOB pending is for 425.
The Dr office is part of the network.

My mom just removed her NG feeding tube, while I was out of the room talking to my drunk estranged younger brother.

The tube was stitched into her .

You think at 10, 20, 30, 40 that there is time to patch things up in a family. My brother has spent many years making my moms life hell.

My older brother and you.get brother have not talked in years. Today my you.get brother is figuring out the importance of family. A little to late

I'm sorry to post here, but I have noone to turn to. I'm supposed to bear it all, stand tall.

30 days ago my mom had emergency surgery. She had a slim.chance of making it thru, and if she made it they surgery we were told we could still lose her in recovery.

Today at 2pm I found out that my moms liver is indeed failing. At 69, with congestive heart failure and hardening of the lungs she would not be a strong canidate for a transplant.

Meaning, I am indeed watching my mom die, and not one Damn thing I can do to stop it.

I've had 3 really bad years. My sdad died in 2009. My mom crashed, depression overtook her life, then she started drinking. Early 2012 she was diagnosised with a terminal disease- life expectancy 5 yrs. However, Thanksgiving I found out that she also has cirrohsis of the liver.

Yeah its been one shitty year. She doesn't know I know. The symptoms make total since now.

It breaks my heart, she's my beat friend and I have to watch her die.
