Happy Tuesday, STalkers! Are you enjoying Fall? It's a balmy 47 degrees here (that's still shorts weather!) and the fall colors are popping out all over. Color will likely be at peak next week and it's always so beautiful. There are roads with trees so close to the edge, it's like driving through a canopy of colors. I swear, I want to stop every 20 feet and take a new picture because each view seems better than the last.

Happy Tuesday, STalkers! How goes it?

After all the steroids I had to take, i'm surprised I only gained 5 lbs. Steroids make me eat like a fat man at a hot dog eating contest!

Fall at LAST and cooler temps. Makes it easier to get outside for some sunshine and fresh air and not sweat like an Olympian.

What is your favorite Fall activity? Kayaking and canoeing top my list.

Water is Life. Did you know that water accounts for 60 percent of your body? That’s 11 gallons - or 92 pounds - in a 155-pound person. *shok* Water is essential to every cell. Some research has suggested that staying hydrated keeps your memory sharp, your mood stable and your motivation intact. You can also think through a problem more easily.

Staying hydrated doesn’t just impact your brain, though. Here are a few ways water benefits your body’s health. Here are a few ways water benefits your body's health.

Happy Tuesday, STalkers! How are things going for you? Are you motivated by Spring and the dreaded swimsuit season? (I think there should be free therapy next to the changing room for those trying on swimsuits...)

I'm happy that more fresh fruits and veggies are making their way into the grocery store. Last night, I made some fresh corn on the cob. It was so sweet, i didn't add anything! Nom nom nom...

I keep losing/gaining the same 6 lbs (OR scales are conspiring to drive me crazy!).

Stuck at your desk? Are you hurting and unable to do your regular exercise routine? Housebound? Does arthritis make it difficult for you to exercise?

You might be surprised to hear that yoga can be incredibly beneficial for people with mobility issues – including elderly people and those with disabilities. Yoga can be practiced not just from the comfort of your own home, but even from the comfort of your own chair!!

What do you do when you're to pooped to move and need energy? Caffeine? 5-hour energy drinks? Electric cattle prod?

Caffeine has NO effect on me. If I'm tired or falling asleep, I need sugar. Please pass the donuts! They're great with hot, black coffee!!

P.S. I've dropped a couple of pounds thanks to "emotional diarrhea". *crazy*

Happy Tuesday, STalkers! I was sitting at my desk for too long and was so stiff that I had to s-t-r-e-t-c-h when I got up.

While it's important to stretch before you exercise, we all need to stretch to keep our muscles flexible, strong, and healthy. We NEED that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage. YIKES!!

It’s Tuesday again (dang, that weekend was short…)!

Now that Spring has sprung (although some of us are still in snowshoes), people want to get OUTSIDE. Go for a walk! Smell the fresh air, enjoy the budding trees and blooming flowers, listen to birdsong… BTW, what the heck is that freaking bird so happy about at 5am??

Walking has MANY benefits. It’s a simple way to work muscle groups AND burn calories. But the benefits add up when you walk more often and gradually increase your pace. Everything below is based on walking 30 minutes a day.
