Merry Christmas, everyone!

DD (almost 3) opened all of her presents this morning and DH and I had a relaxing morning while she played. SS12 texted both DH and I first thing this morning saying "Merry Christmas!!!! Send me pics of DD opening her presents! Can't wait to see you all tomorrow!!!" which made my SM heart happy. BM's parents are dropping SS off here tomorrow afternoon on their way back home from BMs. I hope we have a calm, pleasant, no BM drama week with SS.

Thoughts for the holiday...

I was hoping he wouldn't after he told BM to figured out how SD would get to our house Sunday , Monday or today at SIL HOUSE . This whole time not a word from SD at all!!!! Well I just knew that BM would hold at because she knew DHxwould cave and get SD 15 even tho BM told DH f you, and SD has not even bothered to text or call DH. SD knows that today we got to her aunts house . Well of course DH sends SD a message and she said she wants to come but now we have to drive out of our way to meet to get her because SD is staying with BM MOM.

SD14 and DH had an argument last Friday. It was the last day of school before winter break. She woke up begging DH for "1 more hour of sleep" because she was up all night studying. Fine. An hour goes by and SD14 starts bawling her eyes out to DH of how tired she is because she was "studying". DH said she has D's and F's and can't afford to skip school. SD14 just keeps crying and he finally threw his hands up. Said she needed to call her friend to tell her she is not carpooling in the morning and also needs to call BM so she knows to pick her up from our house and not school. 

In case I dont get a chance to pop in here later on, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and as a peaceful SKID free day as you can possibly get.  I truly feel for all who are forced to deal with their SKIDS or have t hem or other In Laws as houseguests, etc. 

While this year, those pressures are more or less off for me ( so far!..still time for the possibility of SD30 to present that in some way), but that doesnt mean I havent done my time in the trenches, so I get it. 

Today was SD25's baby shower. It was thrown at the last minute by SO's sisters and was a dinner at a restaurant with gifts. I wasn't planning to attend (mostly because i wasn't invited but also because i just started a new job and also SO isn't really speaking to SD25.) Anyway, one of SO's sisters called yesterday to invite me and I was unexpectedly off work, so I went.

Last Sunday (the 15th) SS21 saw BM for his Christmas… SD17.5 saw her the 16th… SS20 hasn’t spoken to her (maybe a few texts)  and hasn’t seen her his past 2 birthdays and now 2 Christmas’s. She must be going away to their out of state house. Reminder she lives 4 miles from us. 

Now… I don’t want to sound boujee or anything but I feel as you get older you should mature in certain ways etc… food being one of them… I like GOOD food.

This season I have just not had any Christmas Spirit and havent decor-ated still. 

I caught a nasty cold Friday, my Dad went the emergency room Saturday, and now my brother decided to vacation in our lovely seaside resort exactly 15-27.

Things between us are strained. He simply has no use for me and doesnt really enjoy talking with me at all. No arguments have been had. Hes somewhat like that with my parents and it goes back a really long way. Nothing to do with me, just lots of bad things were said to my parents along the years.

Dh’s family is getting together for annual cheer. OSD responded to the group invitation that she and YSD sadly (boo hoo) won’t be here.

They’re stuck, a dull Christmas at the dreary, dank home of BM, making a sympathy grab hoping the rest of the family will feel sorry for them.

This is my first and most probably only pregnancy (very high risk) I am terrified my child will have the same manners and behaviors of SS15 and SD11. I have been married for five years.
My DH and I tried and are still trying to do all we can to help them become better people but boy are we delusional! They are as entitled, ungrateful, and disrespectful as could be. I do love them. Don't get me worng but I am realistic about how they're shaping up, plus I am truly exhausted.
