Time for a new prediction

Simpleton21's picture

DH got SD last night to make up for not getting her Thursday night.  Ugh, I wish he didn't feel the need to make up every little bit of time he misses with her but I get that he wants to see her.  Anyways, he comes in and tells me that SD is now done with cheer and gymnastics, she is only going to do softball and ice skating.  Wow, bright idea BM.  I'm sure she will do so much better at softball and ice skating and won't get hurt as often *huge eye roll*  I tell DH, "you know she will be getting hurt playing softball" and he is in obvious denial.

I'm going to predict that she will make it maybe 1-2 weeks into the softball season before an injury.....

Okay I about pissed myself laughing, it's not the softball I would be worried about.

SD is ice-skating! As in having sharp blades of death attached to her feet that she can't seem to keep a good enough control of to keep herself upright! So when she falls and slices off n appendage or slices up some other kid I really hope DH remembers what a great idea this was. Eye Roll!

LMAO, I didn't even think about that but you are correct, so maybe the ice skating injury will occur before she ever even makes it to soft ball.  They would be better off enrolling her in competitive eating.  That is where she really excels!

Right?! Hell no to the blades on this child's feet! Not only can she "hurt herself", but she could hurt others while putting om her stupid "show".

LOL, yes, other's safety is at risk when she puts on her cutesy I need more attention act!  *bad*

If she's out of shape from her "knee injury", she won't be able to do either of these very well and set herself up for a real injury from either.   Maybe a fly ball will hit her in the head and knock some sense into her.

Oh she is out of shape alright.  I will be sure to update on this.  I'm interested to see if switching sports has any affect on the injuries.

My prediction is she actually gets hurt for once in softball when she isnt paying attention to the game.

Simpleton21's picture

I predict she won't even make it to a game.  Once she realizes they have to run and be active in practice she will be hurt.....or yeah getting hit by a ball would be a really great attention grabber.

Pulled muscle probably then. That ends up turning into a more serious injury over time mysteriously.

Simpleton21's picture

LOL, that is usually the diagnosis or sprain/strain after all the testing doesn't show an injury!  Somehow SD is the only person I know to have multiple "undetectable injuries" that get worse with physical therapy instead of better!

Is to get a pool together. What going to be injured....Foot, leg, knee, hand

Simpleton21's picture

LOL, yes, we do need to get together an injury poll!  I'm guessing it will be a foot injury....seems like that one hasn't been used in a while.....

Seriously. This is so beyond rediculous at this point.

They need to wrap her in high density foam and some bubble wrap, for good measure, and call it a day.

Simpleton21's picture

It is beyond ridiculous!  I think BM needs to keep her in these sports b/c she has a mental illness with the attention/fake injury crap also!

Simpleton21's picture

I'm sure SD will break more than finger nails and if she does break a nail it will be the most severe nail break ever and probably require physical therapy for at least 3 months....

without an injury is my prediction.  She will injure herself in practice.  I remember when SS faked an injury during a game and it was so obviously faked (nobody anywhere around him) that the coaches wouldn't even go help him off the field.  He limped/crawled his way off the field trying to get sympathy and because he was scared.  Even DH just left the game he was so embarrassed.

Simpleton21's picture

I predict you are correct.  Once practice gets hard she will be injured severly.  OMG, that is hilarious.  I WISH that DH and BM would be embarassed by all of her injuries but BM seems to encourage it *sad*  I think DH is at the point that it is getting embarassed because basically any time she is injured now and he tells someone about it he gets the same response, "what?!? She is injured AGAIN!?!? Didn't she get injured doing the same thing not to long ago?!?! Maybe you should take her out of sports!"  That is hard to ignore over and over.

Wont the blades on her skates break?

its just all the ice skaters you see are like gymnasts, petite or tall and skinny.. they need to be that to do all the movements. I assume also ice skating lessons cost a shitload of money which is pointless if she won’t be like the next tara lapinski, nancy kerrigan or tonya harding...

Simpleton21's picture

LOL, I don't know the weight limits on the blades!  I agree though she doesn't have an athletic build  at all and she doesn't like to actually put in effort so of course it will be pointless and a waste of money but BM has to keep putting her into sports "so she doesn't gain more weight" - seems counterproductive though because she is always getting hurt (even in cheerleading) so she is always in PT or unable to participate.  I think she would be better off not putting her in anything active but what do I know?!?! I'm just a SM! LOL!  I don't know the cost.  Thankfully BM funds all the ECAs that she insists SD be in.
