Teens Working Jobs

Lillywy00's picture

What are some of your reasons for and/or against having these kids work jobs?

*no judgement zone just curious on the viewpoints of other parents*

In my experience

the pros

  • build work ethic
  • socialize and interact with others (even network into better opportunities)
  • extra income they can use to spend, save, invest, give (can show them how to be wise with money)
  • learn time and money management
  • Ease off the payroll quicker and faster

the cons

Layaway-Plan Pr0stitut3 Lair

Just curious as to how far away is your spouse ex wife from

where you live?

I'm guessing (from my own past experience) that the closer these unstable exes live the more chaos they bring to the table.

The Disneyland dad I used to deal with had a beastly bovine breeder who was a mere 5 minute drive.

*shudders*

OT Possible New Employers

Lillywy00's picture

All that ranting about the sociopathic employers i currently have led me to get new resumes and apply like crazy

they effed me over multiple times (whether in purpose or accident bc they're unorganized) and while I stuck it out like a overly optimistic sidekick to a Disneyland parent....now I can screw them back ---> unlubed!

TAKE THAT

If everything lines up, then estimated earning increase slated to be $10k+/year

Disneyland Parents 18+ year bid….

Lillywy00's picture

Just love how these Disneyland parents chose the most personality disordered people to procreate with, then instead of turn things around for the better, they expect you as a stepparent to come in and not only accept the dysfunction of their parenting /co-parenting style but also expect you to deal with the chaos and decrease in lifestyle satisfaction as well

No mfs!!!

YOU handle your 18+ year bid and everything that comes along with it.

I didnt procreate with your beastly breeder so I'm not suffering those consequences for many years like you are.

Prenups

Lillywy00's picture

Is it reasonable to ask for prenuptial agreement before marrying men with kids?

I wonder if some of the Disneyland Dad behavior would be curbed if they new they'd be divorced (again) and have to pay out (even more) if they failed to check their behavior/failed to be a better spouse who prioritizes marriage

*this could go for any gender

OT - Ladies …. Guard your time

Lillywy00's picture

This is just my experience....

But I've noticed that some men seem to think they own your time.

One of the things I disliked most about living with men is how they think you're supposed to be at their beck and call 24/7.

Dudes be like ..... "Oh you Just got off work? Ok now it's time for you to go take care of kids, run my errands, clean up after me and these kids, listen to me b*tch n moan (aka be my free therapist), participate in my delusions, etc"

Parenting Styles….

Lillywy00's picture

So there are a few styles of parenting .... if you've brushed up on psych/childhood development/parenting101

Which type of parenting style do you have?

We all know we have the "Disneyland parent" which I believe is a more permissive parenting style.

I think parenting styles should be discussed before serious commitment due to the major chaos it (being on two different accords when it comes to raising kids) can cause in the home

Recognizing Limitations

Lillywy00's picture

This time on my own has helped me realized my limitations when dealing with men with kids

First of all, I never intended to deal with men with underage kids that live with for the exact reasons I ended enduring so now know that this absolutely a dealbreaker with the only exception being men who are earning 7 figures and compensate me for the work dealing with their industrial grade baggage
