I'll just take back that MOTY award.

I'm not really sure why a little red flag never went up for us but BM was always the one to take SS4 to the dentist. We figured, cool she is actually being a parent... We were wrong.

BM said she took SS to the dentist when she had him for two months and mentioned to DH that he had some cavities. From the shit diet she feeds him and the total lack of personal hygenine neither of us were surprised by that. Because of some insurance issues we just told her we'd just take him when he came here.

Meh...

I haven't really posted for awhile, nothing new has really happened. Can't seem to get SS4 into a preschool unless we pay an arm and a leg to do it. Working a crazy amount of hours in the hopes that we can get out of debt sooner and I'm just so tired lately. DH got the boys new toothbrushes (DH and I both have a toothbrush thing, we get new ones every month or two) Star Wars themed, they're really cool and light up.

A little soul crushing...

We decided to stagger the boys' nap times because I would literally spend two hours or more fighting with them to finally calm down and go to sleep. That meant that I was actually alone with SS, which almost never happens. BS is there or DH is there, it's never just us. It was a little weird, honestly. And in the course of our chatting it got very sad, very quickly. BM hasn't called SS Thursday but in that time she's called DH, in the morning which she knows he works in the mornings, complaining that she hasn't talked to him and how dare he interfere with her talking time with SS.

Unpunishable??

SS4 has become increasingly difficult lately. The first week or so that he was here (Late August) he was fine and normally, we were actually quite shocked since he had been with his BM for over two months. Now, about a month later, he's starting to turn into demon spawn...

Well that's just gross...

SS is starting to get to the delightful age that gross things are hilarious and he loves to do them over and over and over and over and over again... Yesterday DH, BS, and SS picked me up from work, I noticed that SS wasn't wearing his shoes or his socks. Turns out he decided to suck on his toes... He's a boy and a child, both are gross beyond belief but that was truly nauseating  . I tried to ignore it but finally the sound and the fact that he was sucking on his toes in the back seat made me snap at him to knock it off.

I decided I didn't want to feel anxious anymore

So, I've had several epiphanies in the last few days I think it's mostly sleep deprivation and frequent spans of waiting that has lead to my sudden brain blasts. Two nights ago I decided I was no longer going to be anxious. I have been beating myself up about things that I could have never controlled and will never control. Specifically, that I have no real warm fuzzy feelings towards SS4 and feeling guilty that BS2 is my whole world. I finally told my husband that even though I will never actively treat SS and BS differently I don't have the same feelings towards them.

no ss, i am not starving you

This afternoon I was making the boys lunch and ss said specifically that he did not want rice. I've adopted a more vegan diet so my food choices are very limited and the boys really like meats and cheese so we normally have different foods for lunch. I made just enough rice for myself and a little bit for bs since he is too young to say whether he wants something or not. I hate to waste food so of course my measurements were very accurate.

Table manners don't apply to ss

I.Just.Live.Here's picture

I wouldn't say I'm uptight about table manners but there are certain things people just don't do... because it's disgusting. BM allows SS4 to eat with his hands at the table... FOR EVERY MEAL!!! Doesn't matter if it's eggs, salad, biscuits and gravy... he always tries to eat with his hands and hismouth wide open. I have lost my appetite more than once because of his atrocious table manners. The only reason I even really noticed this morning was because I could HEAR him eating cereal because he won't close his mouth unless I'm standing right there.

wanna be a little more of a douche?

My husband and I work opposite shifts so we don't have to pay daycare for our two boys. I pretty much haven't seen him in about a month and a half for more than 20-45 minutes at a time. Yesterday I called into work because I have been working more than a week straight and just needed a day off. H, because right now he is not dear, also had yesterday and today off. Pretty much these whole two days has been spent with him bitching.
