Yay for SS!! I'm So Proud of Him!

Second blog in a day! But I couldn't wait to share! BF called and let me know that SS got all A's on his progress report! He's gotten all A's so far this year. We're going to take him out this evening to celebrate when we both get off work!

I'm so proud of him. He's worked so hard this year on his schoolwork and his reading skills. He's improved so much! Just wanted to share this with everyone!

Speaking of parties, BM is having SS's birthday party a couple weeks early this year so he and his cousin can have a joint birthday party. I think it's a good idea since he and his cousin are so close, and they'll have a good time.

Things couldn't be better at our house lately. SS and I have a great relationship, and we've been getting along fine. And once I decided to disengage from caring about BM's antics, life got even sweeter.

But, every once in awhile, she soooo gets to me, and this time it's not what has been done to me personally. It's about the decisions that she makes that affects SS. I think that she loves her children as much as she can possibly love anyone, and I don't think that she would intentionally hurt SS or his sister. But she doesn't think about how her choices affect them.

I've been on here a while lurking, but I've never really had the guts to just introduce myself and say hello. I've been with my BF for almost 4 years now, and we've been living together for 2. He has one son who is just the greatest kid. We have a great relationship. It took a while at first for us to find some common ground with one another, but now we get along beautifully. He has his moments like all children, but those are few and far between. He's well behaved, makes good grades in school, stays out of trouble, and I really couldn't ask for more.
