Counseling Questions

bubbles's picture

I've read posts from several of you about going to counseling, which is helpful that you share the information with us.

I would like to go to counseling but am naive on this. Does insurance cover family counseling? How have you selected who you should go to? I looked in the yellow pages here for my area, but it's a coin toss on who to choose. Please help!!!

Thanks!

Step Siblings Issues...I need to vent...

My stepsons are 6 & 10, my daughters are 5 & 10. My ss and my daughter both go to the same school this year, so this is the first year that they are around the same group of kids. Well my daughter likes to say that ss is her brother, and he will say it isn't true or that she is lying. My daughter said this morning that the kids are believing him and not her. I have told her before to not say anything to him becuase I didn't want her to get into trouble for something that he started, so for the most part she doesn't say anything back to him.

Child Support ?'s

We got a letter in the mail Saturday for a child support review. In your personal experiences, has the support increased all the time? This is the first review for us. When the order was first enforced was when they divorced. Now...our situation is this...married to me of course, I have two girls from prev. marriage and my ex sends about $300 month support for my 2 girls, and of course I'm sure like others, we live from paycheck to paycheck. Even though my ex sends $300 support that does not cover much for them.

Uncooperative ex-wife

Let me give a little background info, so you can fully understand and offer advice. There's no nice way to say this, but I am the reason by hubby left his wife. The marriage was already doomed but I was the excuse or reason that he left. I mentioned earlier that he has two boys, ages 6 and 10. We have issues with both of them but the older one is a bit more verbal about his feelings. My hubby and I know that alot of his actions are a reflection of his mothers feelings.

How do you deal with an ex that doesn't want to deal with you?

I have to biological girls, ages 5 and 10, and i have two stepsons ages 6 and 10. I have been married to my husband for 3 years and have yet to have an encounter with his ex-wife. We've (my husband and I) have had many battles together over situations that have come up but never anything directly with her. Is this the typical situation to have an ex completely avoid me?? I don't even go with my husband to drop his children off when they go home. His ex says she doesn't want me there or doesn't want to speak to me...and thats the way its been.
