Ot- joint Xmas gift

Sweet T's picture

So my son and my husband love sports memorabilia and they loved Kirby Puckett. They both want a signed ball...they are more money than I spend singly on each of them. I found one on eBay and am thinking about getting it as a joint gift. They display their memorabilia together and my husband's will end up being BSs after he passes.

Do you think that is a bad idea or not? Looking for some opinions.

I think I have a bunch of Kirby Puckett baseball cards.. probably some that are gem mint rated and maybe signed. My ex used to collect the stuff. I took them all just to be an asshole when I booted his ass out after I found out he was cheating.

DH and I gave them all to BS7, but BS is a Yankee fan as are we, and I'm sure he'd never notice some missing Kirby Pucketts if you son/husband would like them? My guess is they probably already have a bunch though?

Omg, they would love a signed card...my husband is a total Yankees fan too as he is from MY. We love Aaron Judge, such a great kid. My son has a huge card collection, but no signed Kirby.

Bs10 lives breathes and sleeps baseball..lol. the ball collection was a great thing that I started for him.

That would be like DH getting me a gift I'd have to share with an SD, and vice versa. I don't think you do that to a child.

I just saw this, the difference is my son and husband are friends an share the love of baseball/ sports 24/7.

No, I would not do combined gift, sorry.....

Then rather try and get 2 balls or something like that and only give these expensive gifts on birthdays, this way DH contributes to BS gift
