I am the step parent of 4 adult kids. I do a lot for my husband's kids, but when it comes to my birthday I only get a text on mothers day, nothing. I feel that I do more for the kids than their birth mother due to the fact that the boys (3) all work with my husband & I in the family business. I am always doing things like preparing their tax returns for them, feeding them lunch, giving them rides, etc. Sometimes I feel that they do not appreciate all of the things that I do for them. My husband has always gone the extra mile for them, but I feel they really don't appreciate him either.
