The Adventures of a Step Mom with a Narcissistic BM

Uddermudder123's picture

Last month, I went through a very rough patch with my SD and her BM.  Sprouting from me asking my SD why she was sent home from school (for verbally threatening some girls).  I received very nasty, almost abusive texts from BM.  And I did respond diplomatically once and only once.  This resulted in a further abusive email response and I then blocked mommy dearest (as i call her).  Later, I reviewed the response and decided to write a response but not send it as there is no point in doing so.  It was more for my own sanity.

I’m Over It All

I've been married for 8 years, known my husband and SS for 11 years, we have 3 bio kids, and I don't think I can do this step mom thing anymore. The first 9 years were fine. Visitation during summers and every other major holiday. But since fall of 2020 we've (I've) had him full time. My husband is in the army and leaves a lot, he doesn't do much when he's here anyways (I swear he has a gaming addiction) and I'm a stay at home mom. My stepson from the beginning has been very sneaky, manipulative and lies frequently.

BF's Toxic Teenage Son

Soniki's picture

Im 27 years old and got into a relationship with an older man at the age of 22. At the time he had a 10 year old son. His son has always been rude but every laughed it off as cheeky because he was cute and the youngest in his family.

I have always done my best to care for him despite this, bought food, clothing, looked after him, took him on days out, spoilt him even though he doesn't deserve it, cooked and cleaned for him.

Brokenhearted and Hurt and Angry (Narcissistic behaviour?) :)

My partner and myself have been in a relationship for 3.5 years. When I first met her, she was about two years out of a 26yr marriage to a narcissist - she had done a vanishing act one night with the 2 children and moved back in with her mother (miles away from where she used to live)

Need to Stop Getting so Emotionally Involved

So my DH has a tornado of an Ex. She shows major symptoms of Munchausen by Proxy as well as Narcissitic Personality Disorder. She is constantly making everything an argument and then just responding with "I won't be communicating on this any further." as if that ends the conversation. She is toxic and manipulative and has nothing in her life except SK7.
