I love this ad. First of all, it has a great message. But more than that, these kids are great dancers. That might not hit you right off, because what they're doing is so *not* mainstream dancing of any style. And since they do it so well, you slip into thinking that they're really controlled by the strings. When you really think about the fact that no, they're not flopping around at the end of those strings, they're actually totally in control and creating a fantastic *illusion* of that, you have to be impressed....

I’m very sorry to do this but I’m highly offended at one poster and her constant put down responses and snide remarks.

Although I do believe some of her advice is quite good BUT her delivery is appalling.

My SS13 is very close to our family. I have a bio. 3 yr old son as well. We normally talk to him when he is at his mom's everyother day just to check in and say we are thinking of him. It has been this way for at least 5 yrs. He recently got a cell phone. We finally let him bring phone home to our house, but we set a rule no phone/ text past 10pm.

Future DH and I are going to go for 2 weeks (right after the wedding) to our honeymoon.

I was just reading a forum about child support. I don't care where you live or what side you are on, the Child Support system is flawed. I don't have any kids, I can just go on what I've experienced with my Mom and Dad and DH.

Anybody get a kick out of those commercials for Old Spice with the "old spice guy" (look at your man... now back to me... now back to your man...)

I wish this book had been published in 2006 when I first met DH.

No matter what you think when you meet a man with kids, there is no way you can be prepared for the outrageous battles you will face. I most definitely DID NOT know what I was getting into. What I learned from this book was that in most cases, being a step-mother is a lonely, misunderstood and thankless role to take on. That the best we can achieve in our lives is peace and not happiness.

I posted last night about my SD15 being snotty to my kids when she doesn't think we can see or hear her. We have explained to her time and time again that that is not only disobedient, but dishonest. We have told her that acting one way in front of people and completely different when no one is looking is deceitful and shows a lack of integrity. We have warned her many times that this dishonest behavior could cause her to not be allowed her permit when she turns 16.

She doesn't do anything nice for us anymore unless she wants something. Today, she brought home me a gift and left it on the kitchen table. Didn't say a word to me about it or leave a note with it or anything...I asked her about it at dinner and she said it was "just because." Really? I'm not buying it. I can't wait to hear what she wants in return...I'm sure it'll come up right before she goes to bed tonight...and now we wait.
