And this just makes me mad (yeast infection rant -- TMI warning)
FDH's ex called this morning to go pick up FSD3 from daycare at 8:45 AM because FSD3 was complaining that its itchy when she pees. When he didn't pick up, she called HIS mom to go get FSD3. For once, FMIL exhibited restraint by calling FDH FIRST to ask if it was OK -- so that part I'm not mad about.
going crazy.
my stepson is making me crazy!!!!!! i just cant do it anymore! i cant wait until he leaves. it seems like forever. he hasnt even been here a month. he is beyond annoying. he talks in a baby voice which kills me. and all he wants to do is play damn video games all day. i dont allow it when his dad is not home. he probably thinks im the biggest bitch, but at this point i dont really care. im not mean with him. i want to be but im not. im not that mean! since hes been here i have huge migraines every single day. his voice just makes me clench.

Ladies a big thank you to all of you!
Ladies, this weekend I had to do a grueling upgrade--I'm a Applications Developer and we've been working on this thing for 2 years as a team. The rollout started Friday at 5pm, we are still at it--the "Users" or "Customers" will get the system on Wednesday. Can we say rock-n-roll with the problems then. Well a lot of the time these last few days has been hurry up and wait, and you ladies kept me entertained. I mean the SD took my van out--I know because the seat was moved forward was priceless--the nerve of the brat.

For Florida SM's
Someone made a comment about liability for continuing education that worried me. I did some case law studies investigation and found this:

I'm trying to be smart. Why is it so scary?
I wish I had someone to walk through this with me...
I have gone to see a prenatal specialist who arranged an appointment with a social worker. I explained the exact situation to the specialist who used to work in a domestic violence division and she said me pushing, was not DV. I'll be visiting with the social worker to figure out my next move. 12/13 hour drive to Phoenix is a long one to make alone and it sounds as if my mom may not be able to come here after all. I'm scared, I'm exhuasted and I'm so incredibly confused.
I feel stupid for rushing into this.
Am I being unreasonable?
I've had words with my dh tonight and feel bad about it. My 3 ss's live with us full time, with bm getting regular contact. They're not bad kids, but have certain behaviours and habits which I find very irritating and hard to live with. Dh is normally good at discipline and doesn't take any crap from them, and their behaviour has improved a lot in the last couple of years as it used to be appalling.

what a wonderful weekend
I'm trying not to be overly excited, but we had a really good weekend with SD19. She called Saturday to say that they were in our area and wanted to know if they could swing over. So over she and BF came. They wound up and went to the local fair with us that evening. She has a new job and has to buy some clothes so I gave her some money from my slush fund and % off coupons to help. She was extremely appreciative, DH then treated her and BF to the evening at the fair from his slush fund.

Snapped infront of the Skids..
Our house has had MONTHS of tension between SD9 and me. Everyone in the family still treats her as a baby! and to i just see through it. she does the whole "im thirsty and hungry act" every 15mins.. she is 9! she is more then capable of getting her own drink and snack. At 9 years old i am very sure you understand your actions and would have everyone around your finger, she knows she can do this because it works and she gets away with it.

Treading carefully, but so ready to snap
I know parents get defensive when other people tell them how to parent (even when it's the child's OTHER parent), but I'm starting to assert myself in situations where FDH's parenting (or the lack thereof) is cramping my style.
