How can I tell my husband NO without him getting all defensive about the sd
I need some advise. I am a new mom and this is my first rodeo. I did not know until I sarted back to work how much time it takes out of my schedule to get the baby dressed, fed and off to babysitters before I head to work. I AM NOT COMPLAINING! I enjoy every moment, but it has taken some practice and I so commend the mothers that have 3 or 4 kids!
What exactly is my lane?
If a cell phone is under my contract and I pay the bill, is it in my ‘lane’ to shut the phone off or block individuals who abuse the privilege of said cell phone?

Does anyone have a similar experience?
Has anyone had or heard of step daughters stealing their step mother's panties? My SD, now 18, had been doing this for years. It caught her this year with a pair in her suitcase. My DH says it's ridiculous. SD told him I'm crazy. My marriage is not getting past this. I need similar experiences or articles to show that this happens. I know it stems from jealousy and a desire to take back a father that they think was stolen, but my DH won't buy it. I won't let her come back to my house again until she admits it. She can't be trusted. Thanks!

I gave my husband the ultimatum
I told my husband either SS goes to military school or I leave with my children. He is exposing them to sex, drugs and alcohol and I do not want to lose my children. What I was not expecting was my husband to break down crying. I was taken aback. He says he cannot abandon his son like BM did. I was feeling for him but I had my own children to think about. So I kept firm although it was difficult for me.

Update to BM's "stroke"
I hate to say it, but even if I don't, it's in my heart. It's only because of my fear of karma that I don't literally pray to God a stroke takes her from here. I won't be sad if it ends up killing her.
My MIL had a stroke about 8 years ago. They kept her for 6 days. My mom has had several "mini" strokes. Even with those they admitted her & kept her for a few, to determine what functions had been affected.

SO OVER BM!
So my DH tells me today that for Christmas my ss12's BM wants him to fly to Illinois... I love Christmas and it is my favorite time of year! Last year was the first year my ss11 at the time was living with us and he had no idea about the holiday and what it was for!

Visitation is done for the summer
SD15 left for BM's house today. It was an... *interesting* month.
We technically had her for four weeks, but I offered her 12 days at a residential writing camp - she loved it. Then we all ended up stuck in a hotel room (well, small suite) for another week while waiting for the contractor to finish the tornado repair work.

Hello I am new here but SOOOO GLAD I found this:)
I am new to all of this but so Happy I found it. I have a 5 year old SD that Most of the time I cant stand. She is a only child that gets away with everything. She makes me so mad. I have been married for a little over 2 years now and just this past year things have been really bad. She get's me to the point that I feel like I just want to punch her in the face, }:) and kick her down the stairs.. }:) ..I mean I would NEVER do that I do love her but my god!!! I feel bad for feeling like that, I went to church today and i prayed and prayed that these feelings will go away.
BM Disregarding FSD's Best Interests
Have any of you ever dealt with a BM that was so immature, selfish and caught up in her own drama that she was overlooking the best interests of her children?
FSD9 recently stayed a weekend with FDH and me. Over the course of the weekend she made several comments ...
1. Ugh, I have to suck in my stomach all the time.
2. Ew, I'm so fat.
3. I have been trying to eat less chicken nuggets so I can lose weight.

Think SS is like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Well I'm back after spending a week in California with family. I was suppose to travel alone so DH and SS10 could think about what they really want in this marriage/blended family BUT SS ended up going with me. It was pretty good and things went exceptionally well until the last 2 days of our trip. My BC were delivered back to me Thursday night from their 6 week vacation with their BD and SS instantly became a changed child. I had a talk with SS and reminded him of how wonderful things had been for US and I wanted the rest of the trip to be just the same.
