Why do I care if he showers?
Why do I care if he brushes his teeth?
Why do I care if he fails school?
Why do I care if he lies?
Why do I care that he leaves his dishes throughout the house?
Why do I care that if we have sodas he will drink them until their gone?
Why do I care that he treats our home like its disneyland?
Why do I care if he manipulates DH?
Why do I care if he never wants to go to BM's almost like its total punishment?
Why do I care that we have to repeat everything 5 times before SS will hear any of it?

}:) All the posts I'm seeing are starting to get me sad and upset - so who wants to have some fun?

If you could have 1 day of saying whatever you wanted to your spouse, inlaws, Skids, Bios, anyone - without consequences or fights - what would you say?

I've posted a few times here -- I have 4 skids and one BD17. My skids are SD16, SS18, SS21 and SD22. The boys are much easier than the girls (skid-wise). The girls seem to have their BM's makeup and are behaving like her more and more each day --ie crazy. The youngest one SD16 just began acting more and more like her recently, and it makes me very sad. Up until this point, while our relationship wasn't always easy, it was manageable and we were able to have fun once in a while.

Help!! Okay my youngest step daughter is 6 and she acts like she is 1! Her mom doesn't help her with homework or anything, so this summer my husband and I took it upon ourselves to try to help her with her learning before she goes into first grade. She started out doing great we were able to teach her several words and work with memorization in just a week then she just started giving up and now she has even started saying words like a baby again. Her sister was coloring and so she came to me and asked if she could "cudder" too.

SS8 has been busted not once, not twice but THREE times in 2 days lying over the stupidest of things!

Yesterday, SO just told him off but didn’t punish him…these things happen, I know. By the time today’s lies rolled around, I had had it.

I've noticed a steady stream of what appears to be disgruntled CP StepDADS on this board.

Seems they are finding out that their DW or CP BioMOM does not discipline within reason/provide boundaries and structure for her biokids.

That she's a total "free ranger."

Have any of you stepDADS asked yourself if this is why the BM and biodad broke up in the first place?

So we had a big, ugly fight the day after ss15 went home.

We had the kids for the 2nd weekend in a row. FDH took them fishing on Saturday while I was volunteering. I guess the kids thought I was going fishing too and FSD was disappointed that I wasn't there. She asked FDH if I would come next time. I happened to overhear this when FDH was trying to put her to bed that night. I usually leave them alone when he puts her to bed, but that night I chose to go in with them.

my ss6 is going into 2nd grade, he has a new teacher. For k and 1st grade he has had the same teacher and thankfully she was very in tune with our home life. we would email eachother and if ss had a bad weekend at his BM's i would tell her about it so that monday morning if he was a little out of sorts she would understand. 2 years of this contact with his teacher made school life for ss and us a little easier. teacher called me one day last year and asked me why BM called her for a conferenfce? i told her idk? she asked me " what am i going to talk to her about?

BM and FDH signed a loan together for his house back in 2007. Even when they were together, FDH made all the payments. They only lived together for a few months in that home, and she moved out. Last year FDH tried to get her to sign the quit claim and she refused. He told her that if he ends up getting foreclosed on (just a threat) it would hurt HER credit too. She said she doesn't care because she already has bad credit. Of course, every payment we make is a good thing for her credit now.
