I've seen tons of posts where the stepparent and their spouse cannot take the phone away from the skid because it belongs to BM. Well, today, I saw a meme that had the perfect solution. You take the phone and enter 3 random passwords until the phone locks for 8 hours. YES!! 

When she informed me, all I said was "Go file."

Between CPEs to renew my professional cert I have been binge watching reels and clips.  One I saw today is a man whose DW is handing him divorce papers which include a CS agreement for a kid that is not his. They met when the kid was 7. No adoption.

We live in Western NC and as many have seen on the news, it is utter devastation. We are alive and well as are our loved ones and no major damage other than a roof leak and a little flooding in the basement. We are the lucky ones and the few. So many have lost everything including their lives. No one could have ever expected this...not like this. 
 

Have y'all ever been in a position where you had to choose between one man (or woman) and another man (or woman)?

What helped you make the choice? And had the choice ever been hard to make?

How do you determine between divulging too much information (leaving you with zero choices) vs not divulging enough (and the prospective partners thinking you're not transparent/lying/playing games/etc)?

Well DH sure got an earful from SD. Her decision to have nothing to do with him is because he NEVER put her first and he doesn't put her first NOW. This is a grown woman with a husband and children, but apparently Daddy needs to fall at her feet.

She's delusional, and narcissism comes to mind.

SS26 is getting engaged next weekend.  Well he is asking her anyway.

Her parents and the mothers boyfriend are to attend as well, but it will awkward for them three. Seems they cant be in the same room without arguing.

We don't really know the parents too well.  We have tried on multiple occasions to engage them in conversations but it always goes like this:

Us:  so how are you?

Them: fine

Us: great, so (insert any question at all here to try to get to know them)

Them: answers and then walks away.

NOTHING! 

I had friends over on Sunday for a cocktail afternoon. Stopped at the liquor Sunday and got strawberry puree for strawberry  margaritas.

Never ended up making strawberry ones just regular ones. 

I open the fridge just now and notice that it's not where I left it and it's half empty. Like wtf. Seriously. It's not for strawberry f'n milk or something!!

I text SO and say whoever used it owes me $8. He responded with "I told SS21 he could use it. I'll buy you another one."

Uh oh. DH is showing signs of Father of the Year regression. Two red flags just today.

We ran into a friend at lunch, who was upset about a rift with his adult son. So DH starts giving him "advice." I did not snort my drink out my nose, but it was close there.

I am extremely thankful that my Dad is okay post-hurricane. His area was hit hard. But the house is livable with only minor damage. No power, but he has food to eat. This Daddy's Girl is so relieved! Feel like a boneless pile of goo now that the tension is gone from my muscles.

So as he was dictating invoices, apparently I made a mistake by charging this extremely cheap woman / slumlord with more money than God a standard service call.  I have never met this woman but she must be good looking because Chef cuts her all kinds of breaks on her bills.  

Anyway she got the invoice and wrote back in the email that it's not her invoice because she thought putting in two whole new air conditioner parts would be free for her including the refrigerant which is very expensive.
