There ARE good people in this world, and other positive thoughts.

DH and SS came up to visit me at work today on lunch. As I walked out, I noticed the back light of my car was smashed and there was significant back end damage. I could feel the tears coming when around the corner came a woman, about my age. She told me she was waiting for the person who she had hit and then she called the police to file a report. I thanked her for being such a good person and waiting. DH, SS and I had to cut our lunch break visit short, but at least I didn't have to shell out money we don't have to fix my car. There ARE good people in this world.

Other positives:

-Our food stamps were approved. $200/month. Very excited to have the help with groceries until DH is working.

-DH was approved for TDI while they negotiate a workers comp settlement, so he will be bringing in income (we have gone 8 weeks with him having no income.)

-We have a skid free weekend... skids go back to BM this evening.

-DH's old employer from years back offered him a driving position after he is cleared to work and gets his class A license.

-It is warm and sunny.

Happy Easter!

Happy Good Friday!

All good news for you AJanie.

Me too!

#1. My SO insisted that my car needed a new transmission, costing over $3,000. Upon further investigation, it was only a small timing thingy, costing $150 (I don't pay labor - SO is my labor) My car, nicknamed Silver now drives like a dream. I have been borrowing SO's cars for the past few months while trying to figure out how I was going to come up with 3k! I missed my convertible Silver.

#2. Payday! Whoot!

#3. Winona SD18 isn't coming back from grandparents until later on Sunday. Whoot! Today, Good Friday, is last day for skid, and then Easter bbq, but next few days kidfree! Whoot!

#4. Everyone is healthy, parents walking every day, mom cancer-free. Whoot!

#5. New and better job opportunity came up.

#6. Happy Easter! Whoot!
