OT - Thankful Thursday

Happy Friday Eve, STalkers! It's been awhile since I posted a Thankful Thursday blog. Things have been a little crazy.

I am thankful for:

  • my DH. He works hard, but is never too tired to warm my cold feet or fetch an afghan for me.
  • my Dad, who continues to call/text his Whozit (me) regularly to see how I'm doing (still not fully recovered from covid).
  • SS19. He IS fully recovered from covid and still staying with us. Yesterday, he insisted on changing the flat tire on DH's truck so DH and his arthritic back did not have to go out in the cold. He has turned into such a wonderful young man.
  • Leftovers. Some things taste better the next day (or weeks later when you freeze portions) and this homemade chicken and rice soup hits the spot today!

What's on your list today?

a good job that keeps me focused . I am also thankful for Netflix  :)  so many good shows to get lost in and forget about your own struggles.

Aniki do you have long covid? meaning symptoms way after recovering? A woman in my office has that. My symptoms stopped after a few months and Im pretty much back to normal, for now. Hope you recover completely soon.

Aniki will be posting more details about SD25's wedding as we have all been anxiously waiting :x.... Hahaha, I am just kidding, but am hopeful!

I am thankful to have such a great support system starting with my DH, followed by my family, and my close friends. I have definitely learned to be much more appreciative of what I have and do not need to struggle for like other people do especially since COVID began so I am thankful for not having to stress about the basic needs every person has.

NYASM, I've been meaning to post, but King Pita is making work a nightmarish circus!

I hear you, my F off Friday post has been about my boss the whole month of January so I haven't posted that on your Friday post more than once because it is just on repeat!

Thankful for my healthy, happy kids. Thankful for my pretty easy job that's way less than 40 hrs a week. Thankful for my stellar human being of a husband. I can't believe I got so lucky!

I am so thankful to my younger self for busting @ss and squirreling away the resulting $.  This is my first week of early retirement and it feels divine.  I am very fortunate for everything in my life and the time to really enjoy it.

Thankful to have hit the boss jackpot several times in my career. Current boss is moving to a different position and then retiring. I'm staying on to help the new boss settle in, and then I'm retiring too. I know the new boss and I like her very much, so I'm thankful for that too.

Really enjoying looking through the cruise and fancy trip catalogs and webpages.

I would love to go on an Alaskan cruise. Where do you want to cruise, Merry?

Everywhere. Buuuut ... my retirement stash isn't that big. We're looking mostly Europe -- Portugal to Greece, Norway to Marseilles. Ireland to Romania. I dunno. But some adventure that has other people in charge of transportation -- like a mediterranean cruise or a river cruise or something.

We like history, art, food, music. Don't care a thing about opulence and gambling onboard. Availability of cocktails is a requirement though.

Thankful for my job and super great people I work with as usual. I'm training 3 people now, one supervisory. My boss wants me to take the Management classes (this is different than Supervisory) so I'm wondering if another step up is coming. Additionally people outside my job circle are coming to me for assistance - not because their person isn't doing well but I'm the expert apparently in many things.

Thankful for a DAY OFF TOMORROW. DH is taking me to the city for a couple days for my birthday weekend. A nice hotel, a lovely dinner, one on one time, no logging into work.

Thankful for my baby boy kitty who loves me unconditionally and always.
