OT - Eff Off Friday

Aniki-Moderator's picture

Friday couldn't get here soon enough and this work day has already been endless. I am SO ready for the weekend.

Eff off to:

  • People who seem to think that "I don't have access to that" means I have access ~eyeroll~
  • No cardamom for my coffee
  • People who get offended because WORDS
  • People who get offended because two other people are having a private conversation
  • People who get offended when you are legitimately offended
  • People who try to get your attention for random sh!t that can wait because I'M ON THE BLOODY PHONE

ETA:

Eff off to the effing effer who says "You can add those things on the website" when only SYSOP has access to add. But insists on sitting at my desk and going through every freaking screen. Then saying we'll have to check with the boss on Monday. The boss just emailed. SYSOP HAS TO ADD THAT!!!

Happy Friday, STalkers. May your workday be short, your weekend be long, and stephell be not so hellish.

Eff off to...

- SO and his selfish ways... Can someone really be so wrapped up in his own mind that he doesn't understand the destruction he's doing?

- Working two jobs and being over it all... Tired of managing everything, need a vacation.

- Minus 15-20 degrees Celsius weather... I'd like my feet to warm up this year.

- Bosses who are MIA, never follow through, don't acknowledge employees and not cognizant that they are going to lose their good people if they don't wake up.

I'm sure I'll have more later Wink

Eff off to not knowing it's Friday already.
Being back at work for the first time this week after the holidays has left me confused about what day it is.

Eff off to people with small children who let them whine and scream and snivel and cry and run about the hallways.
The office isn't a bloody crèche because your day care provider is sick.
Stay at home!

Eff off to cardmom.
Really, Aniki?
Have your normally impecable tastebuds gone insane?

And I love Stephen Fry, no eff off to him, but I will give him the last word:

“It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.'  As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.'  It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what?"

Letti! Eff off to NO cardamom! The coffee shop was out and I'm pouting.

People have the right to be offended and I have the right to not give a flying fart in space that they are. Wink

Gaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! I'm a FINN, woman! Cardamom is The Spice of Life!

I hhave yet to decide if I am offended....LOL

Cadamom ice cream is one of my favorite flavors.  OR cardamom yogurt.  I like turkish coffee, made on the stove, in a pot, boiled with cardamom seeds.  Delicious!

You have Finnish brain freeze on the taste of cardamom.  Shok
How can any of you stand the taste of that ghastly green thing disguised as spice?
Yuck.

This Scottish lass thinks cardamom should be outlawed for grossness!
Afterall, we Scots of refined taste, invented classical delicacies such as haggis, deep fried Mars bar, spotted dick, rumbledethumps and square sausages!!
No cardamom - ever -  to spoil fantastic foods!
(The English invented revolting Marmite, so don't blame us.)

SS14.  I'm done with you, kid.  I will provide the basics for you, but don't talk to me, don't ask me for stuff, don't even LOOK at me.  Anytime you want to start acting like a member of the family and a decent student instead of the most foolish leech on the a$$ of society, I will re-engage.  Until then, BYE FELICIA.

Eff off to a "work from home/remotely policy" that's in place now, but management undermining it because they really thing people aren't really working if they are not in the building at thier desk.  OH but WAIT:  If management works from home/remotely (they've been able to do so for several years now) THEY are REALLY working.  Double-standards anyone?

And I'm going to fight this attitude and any additional BS "work tracking" they try to implement because they don't trust their teams.  Yes, at the end of this month I am seriously looking at other jobs to see what's out there. I don't work well with micromanagers.

And Yes, I'll be working from home on Wednesdays says I because they don't know what they are doing and eff them, I'm making the decision now.

I loathe that!! I had a boss who constantly instant messaged people when they WFH. But he never responded to IMs when he WFH!

Yes, I have a feeling they are going to be watching when we go "active" and "off work" on Sykpe.  I have to remember to turn that sucker to available - i constantly forget.

THEY are busy but we must be available 100% of the time.  It's exhausting.  I dislike the "new/old" management group.  I basically am like, "whatever" at this point.

Eff off to everything!!! I'm just sitting here seething, annoyed with everything at work.

Eff off to annoying coworkers.

Eff off to Crazy, who once again told SD last night that she won't go to their bball/cheerleading tonight because we will be there. Even though SD was SOOOO excited, because she found out yesterday they are doing a new cheerleading "stunt", and she is the girl who gets to be thrown in the air. They never do anything even close to this, so it is kind of cool, especially since she's the one that gets to be thrown. She's ecstatic, had to run and call Crazy right away, but then I hear SD saying to her "but you just said you aren't coming because dad and step-girlfriend will be there"....obviously really bummed about it. Crazy said, well, maybe, I know it's important to you and SS, but I just don't know, we'll have to see....  You PSYCHO, we just saw her at their game last wknd (she had to go because it was her wknd), and we ignored you!! Didn't even look at her at all, no interaction, nothing. Us being there doesn't impact her whatsoever, yet she won't go to games because of us. Did I mention that their school is only 7 minutes from where Crazy lives, so it's not even out of her way? GRRR...
