A little anniversary story- that has to do with OSD

DH's and mine anniversary was very nice Smile The Melting Pot was really cool and such a great experience. The food was so good.

Here is a picture of DH and I. We take a picture every year holding a picture from the previous year. Smile

So yesterday morning I made an anniversary post to DH on FB. Happy Anniversary yadda yadda yadda. I included 2 pictures- 1 of just him when I was first walking down the aisle and one of us saying our vows. I did not tag him in the pics though, just the post.

Well I get a notification that OSD "liked" the picture of just him. Since he wasn't tagged in the picture she only saw the post as a whole. So she had to see the post, look at the picture, click on the picture of him and like it. She didn't like the actual post or the other picture, just the picture of him.

So she was basically trying to let me know, I see your post, but I'm not going to like it, but I will like the photo only of my dad, so you know I saw it. Me I'm thinking- I don't care.

It's really petty. It didn't bother me but it's just the fact like come on now and get over it. We are married. You're dad is happy. No one cares how you feel about it. Go focus on your own marriage that is a wreck and your 2 kids.

I guess some things never change.

Meh, OSD who?

Nice tradition with the yearly and previous year photo. You both look happy and you both enjoyed your celebration. That's what counts.

My cousin does it for her anniversary so I stole the idea from her. Ha ha. And the frame came from my bridal shower. It will be cool to see what the picture looks like 10 years from now.

Thank you! My sister gave it to me the night before. She was going through her closet and getting rid of clothes. I was like SCORE! Anniversary dress.

Thank you.

Thankfully I don't have to deal with skids much or FB drama. Just felt like she was trying to make herself relevant on our day.

Thank you!

When DH and I first started dating and BM was dropping the skids off at DH's the same time DH and I were pulling up and BM yelled out the window "Oh here you are finally and with your flavor of the month." LOL. I guess since DH had dated a few women before me they figured I wouldn't last.

I have a love/hate relationship with FB. I rarely have drama because of social media and I think it has benefits but sometimes it just feels so all consuming. Really it's the internet, even message boards, etc. I'm in need of unplugging from everything.

I have never had an issue before with her in regards to social media. So I haven't felt the need to be that "extreme". I just ignore her and she ignores me and we are fine. However, if anything like this happens again I will block her for sure.
