Last few days have been good in my crazy life!

1. Essure procedure went well. Very little cramping or pain. I admit, I am making it SEEM worse than it is to get the sympathy from Loghead. Yeah, he decides to tell me AFTER that he would have had another child. He told me what I good mom I am, and how much he loved me being pregnant and with a baby. And I already knew that, cause he has told me before, but it was nice to hear again. But i also know that our finances can't take any more hits, and in 4 years all the skids will be out. I didn't want to bring another life into this house.

2. Loghead gets to set his own temp job hours. As he was getting ready to leave yesterday, he saw a news segment about a local event- a showing of his favorite movie at a prominent historical site garden in our state- about an hour drive away. he crawled back in bed and said to forget work, we were going to the movies instead. We spent most of the day in bed, watching movies and reading. (There are benefits to having summers off and flexible job situations...) When Princess got home from work, we all piled in the car and went to see the movie. It was cool- it was shown on an inflatable screen, and we had our blankets and camp chairs. The kids were driving him nuts, and he laughed and said it did not count as a date, but a family outing- also a must on my list.

3. Today i'm taking off to the city with a close friend to go to a wedding for another friend of ours. We're making a weekend of it, and staying in a hotel- shopping and site seeing. Loghead is staying home with the kids. I've already made him promise Gibby will be his focus and not the big kids' needs.

4. When he decided not to go to work yesterday, he made a joke about having to call and cancel with his girlfriend... If looks could have killed, he would have instantly been dead. Before I even had a chance to say anything, he was on his knees, teary eyed and begging for forgiveness. He gushed romantically and said all kinds of stuff about how he's stupid and doesn't deserve me and that too many times he takes advantage of me... He also said he rather likes having his penis attatched to his body, and he knows that would be my first response to a cheating spouse. Smart man. He talked about his reluctance to go out and his fear of our money not holding out till his new job starts in August. In the next 6 weeks, all three boys have birthdays, all four cars come up for state inspection, Princess leaves for college and needs stuff for the dorm, we both need things for our classrooms, etc, etc, etc.

So with most of Thursday and Friday snuggled in bed, we've talked out many things.

It still boils down to I like to go out and he doesn't- and it doesn't have to cost money. And I pointed out that since it's important to me, it should be important to him. And he agreed. I reminded him things would always go more smoothly if he would just listen to me in the first place. He did conceed that he can't remember the last time I was wrong about anything...

Oh- and whoever said Princess doesn't want to really be with me, she just wants to know I'm there in an emergency. True. But it still hurts like hell. And she was a total b*$%^ at the family outing last night, and Loghead really put her in her place. Reminding her she's only a kid for a few more weeks and life will be different once she moves in the dorm. And she's the one losing out on the family moments that won't ever come around again. He reduced her to tears. It was awesome...

Okay, so I've got to get out the door. It's almost a 3 hour drive to the wedding... Biggest stressor this week? Bio-mom, Loca Grande, has the official tests run this week to see if the lump on her thyroid is cancer. She also has PITA his appt. for getting his teeth molds made for his braces. I have a feeling she'll back out on that. And I've already told Loghead hell will have to freeze over before I step in and drive him. On the PITA front, he's still acting like an ass. He was with her all week. I spent down time this week washing the piles of clothes on the floor in his room and putting them away properly. That's my little way of saying "I love you, even if you're an ass." and it was my OCD, but whatever...
