Make my stomach turn. Good news first. We are leaving on vacant Friday and dh has secured a place for ss14 to stay!!!! Yeah!!

Now on to the bizarre and gagworthy. So tonight he has a headache. Ok. Big deal. Don't mean to be unsympathetic but we all get them. In fact in the last week or so ive had some killer ones. My ds had one this weekend. So we all went to walmart with the exception of ss. He called my dh 4 times- on my phone- sobbing actually literally sobbing due to his headache. Dude really your 14 years old and crying to your daddy becsuse your lil head hurts? This is the way hes always acted- I can remember him screaming for hours because his lips were chapped- I just didn't realize he still did it.

So we get home and hes downstairs lying on my sofa wrapped up in MY blanket. You know the basement which he is not allowed in,the blanket hes not supposed to use? I tell him to get up and get upstairs. I go over yo pick up a plastic container that was left there by my dd yesterday only yo discover it had vomit in it. Hr threw up and left it there only it was ok because technically it wasn't vomit just " spit up". Again dude your not a baby. 14 year Olds aren't supposed to spit up- not to mention it was a good cup or so of fluid.

My dh is obviously in denial mode because he thinks none of the other kids vomit because noone vomits neatly. He thinks becausewe haven't seen or had to clean up their vomit they never puke. Omg. No, dh they just puke in the toilet and clean up after themselves.

^^^^^This^^^^^. My 14 y/o son gets migraines. They are HORRIBLE. I leave his bedside with Ginger Ale, crackers, a trash can, the remote, the phone, I close the blinds and call him every hour on the hour.

Based on the way you describe his past behaviour - the lips episode - I don't for a minute think there is anything wrong with him other than maybe a slight headache. If there is - well, we all know about the boy who cried "Wolf!"
He probably spent 2 hours spitting in a cup so he could show you a pile of "vomit".

He may have actually had a migraine. I know those can bring me to tears and I am a grown woman! Crying, headache and vomit... This may be a time to let the irritation go and give him a pass on the basement and blanket thing.

I agree with Stepaside and Overworked mom, he could have been sick, and I think your frustation for him and his assanine ways clouded your judgement a bit. I get migraines also, makes me throw up, cry, and lie still in a dark room, I would give him a pass on this one!

By the way, HMO, what is the update on the crazy crap that had been going on in your home? The breaking and entering, SIL, BIL and girlfriend having snooped, destroyed and took belongings?

Myself, I would be afraid to leave on vacation, knowing people still had access to my home, especially with SS being left out on the vacation. You know it looks bad to the inlaws that ya'll are not taking him, and they might throw a big enough pity party for him that you come home to some degree of mess.

I hope this vacation gives you enough peace to sort out how to go forward with your life, because you and your kids really deserve better than what you are living. And by this I am referring to what I wrote in your previous blog.

No, I dont think he had a migraine. He was not vomiting last night because he was sick-he "vomits" 2-3 times each week at least-I'm not sure if its acid reflux, or what but it is just large amounts of phlegm. He's been this way since he was about 7 years old. This was just one of his episodes of "spitting up". As far as the headache, I dont doubt he had a headache. I had one all weekend, my ds12 had one as well. I do believe he was exaggerating his discomfort. He has always done this (see the chapped lip example above). He spent 2 days in the hospital when he was young due to a mild ear infection. Seriously. They ran every test known to man because he was screaming and sobbing-they thought there must be something seriously wrong with this kid-but no, just a slight beginning of an ear infection.

To me, if you had a migraine, you wouldnt want to sob loudly and scream? Wouldnt that cause more discomfort? I am also assuming you wouldnt eat some fried chicken and biscuits (the biscuits he made himself), call someone 4 times in 20 minutes, etc. I guess I've just always envisioned someone lying in a quiet room with the lights off, not someone watching tv-with it up full volume, all the lights on, eating chicken and biscuits.

Trust me, he is a drama king to the max. If my kid told me they had a headache, I might get them the iboprofen and a glass of water. If my kid spit up phlegm all over the place-I would make them clean it up and give them a lecture to boot about being gross. It's sort of like the bedwetting-he doesnt bother to clean up after himself there nor does he with the spitting up stuff. It's unsanitary and gross and there's no reason that a 14 year cannot dispose of their own phlegm.

As far as the inlaws-the locks have all been changed. The neighbors notified to call teh police asap if anyone is over there, my parents who live 5 minutes away will be doing daily checks. Honestly I think their game is up. They know that we know now so we havent had any more issues. As far as my inlaws feeling sorry for ss-doubtful-they dont like being around him anymore than I do.
