One Down, One to Go

SS18 graduated HS yesterday. He looked dazed and confused, poor kid, I don't think it really hit him that HS was over till the actual ceremony.

All my guys looked awesome, they clean up well. All 3 wore dress pants, dress shirts and ties. BM was like "how did you get SS13 to dress up?" Me, "I told him to wear this and he did." }:) Both skids listen to me.

Then she asks/tells DH, "I'd like to borrow those suits and ties for our wedding." I wanted to shout, "no effing way!" But I kept quiet. DH said sure and I elbowed him and gave him a nasty look.

When we got home I asked DH why we had to provide the dress clothes for her wedding? Dh said he thought she just wanted to borrow the ties. Yeah. Right. Whatever DH. Once those clothes leave our house they will never make it back. OR They will come back disgustingly dirty, and the boys won't want to wear them again.

In the middle of the ceremony BM asks DH if he'll switch days with her so they don't have to take SS13 to karate every weeknight they have him. Seriously?!? It wasn't the time or place for that. BTW-She was the one that signed SS13 up for karate and then always switched the parenting plan so that it was on DH's nights. DH told BM to keep the schedule the way it is and that we'll take SS13 on our nights - like we're doing now anyway. BUT DH turned to SS13 and said: "If you don't bring your grades up I simply won't take you to karate." SS13 glared at BM and then told DH he understood.

Dinner after the ceremony wasn't too bad. As much as I wanted to drink myself to oblivion I behaved. It was more fun watching BM do it. She downed a pitcher of sangria all by her lonesome. Kept offering it to me and I refused, one beer was enough. I waited till I got home to have another beverage.

Oh and the best part - the downward mod. for CS kicked in this paycheck for DH Smile He was so excited (and so was I).

I'm down to under 50 months. Seems like a long time, but compared to the past 5 years, its a piece of cake. I can't wait until SD can drive and we won't be stuck home all the time to make sure she can get to extra curriculars or BMs or friends houses.

It got a lot better when SS18 started driving, it took a lot of the pressure off us. The boys both had/have different schedules and we were both driving them. We help SS18 out and pay for gas and car maintenance when he drives SS13 for us.
