GG Managed Not To Say Anything Rude or Offensive

this Thanksgiving and actually was quite a well behaved host!!!

He thanked everyone for coming, wished them a Happy Thanksgiving and even Awesomeson's GF gave GG a hug!!!

My oldest daughter "Peg" showed up with her husband and everything went smoothly!!

I was preoccupied mostly with shopping (early Wednesday) for the finishing touches, and then cooking the rest of Wednesday and all day Thursday.

Here was the menu:

Roasted Pear Salad with Gorgonzola, dried Cranberries and Pecans

Squash Soup

Beet cold plate

Oyster Dressing

Green Bean Casserole

Cranberry Sauce (the real thing)

Candied Yams

Gravy

Dinner Rolls

Deep Fried Turkey

Mashed Potatoes

Pumpkin Pie with Maple Whip Cream

"Peg" brought cheese biscuits and a whipped sweep potato casserole as well as cranberry muffins.

"Awesomeson" brought roasted asparagus.

WHEW!!!!

Wow, what a magnificent spread! Yours in the second relatively successful TG I have read about today.
Maybe GG now needs to have his appraisal aims bar lifted just a little bit, from "not saying anything rude or offensive" to "saying mainly appropriate things", in addition to the welcome speeches.

Sounds like a very nice

Sounds like a very nice thAnksgiving!! Happy for u the spread sounds great!!!! I ended up going to bf parents and had a fAbulous sd free time! Her mom picked her up early and didn't bring her back thank god!!! My bios went to their dads but he brought them back around 6 so we picked them up from my house Ans went back to his folks they were so well behaves and polite and ate again lol we All pigged out , was so nice with his fAm what a difference to not have sd!!! Heavenly!!! Bf and I made the mashed potatoes green Bean casserole and cornbread they mass the rest. Bf and I had a long tAlk about a
