O/T - Jobs

I have a new boss and he is terrible! He is crazy, rude and just plain out mean. I have been with this company for 15 years and in management for 5 years. I always loved my job and expected to retire from here. This may not happen now due to MY new boss. He has been my boss about a year and is just getting worse.

I want a new job, but I don’t want to get back into management. But I want to get paid like I am in management. Lol

Anyway…I am thinking of buying a hot dog cart and try to sell hot dogs on the weekends for now. (while still keeping my job) I think it would be a blast, but the start up is crazy difficult due to permits and such. Anyone have any experience in this?

Or any ideas for a small business?

Land investments are great if you own your own house.

Down payment on a fixer-upper house in a college neighborhood, get it just livable, and rent each room at market price to separate college students. Use it to make the mortgage and property taxes and maybe a little extra. When the price for the house gets better, sell it for a profit.

Buying a land lot in a busy area, install a bathroom, open a farmer's market/flea market. Friday/saturday/sunday. Each table $40, let's say you can put 50 tables, that's 2k a day. 3 days a week. 4.5 weeks in a month. You get the picture.

Buying large lots of items from Asia, and selling them at flea markets.

50 tables is a long shot, obviously, but even 20 tables is 800 a day. I earn 800 every two weeks. Best of all, it's in CASH.

LOL.. you remind me of Kevin Spacey in American Beauty, when he gets pissed at his boss, quits his management job and goes through the drive through burger joint and asks for an application. When the kid says "Sorry, we don't have any management positions" Kevin Spacey says "Oh, that's great! I want a job with the least amount of responsibility possible"

LOVE that movie!
