Letting go...

Willow2010's picture

Ya know…as of 6 months ago, I really only have to deal with BM once or twice a year. That is when SS is home on leave from military. She has done NOTHING to my DH in over 6 months. BUT…the sight of her on facebook still pisses me off!! Lol.

When will that end? I don’t like to hold a grudge, and I will probably only see this woman a few more times ever. So why can’t I be the bigger person and not let the sight of her, get to me? GRRR.

She wrote on SS’s wall this morning….” I miss my son so much it hurts!! Can’t wait for you to be back home for a little while!!!”

What I would like to respond to her post….” B!tch…you dropped your kid off with us two years ago and moved out of state. Maybe saw him a 3-4 times during all that time and you NEVER posted this on his wall. Were you embarrassed that people would then know he was living with his father and not you?!”

See…I need to let things like this go! lol

Willow - I can promise you her comment bothers me, and I am not at all involved! It just seems weird. I saw a comment from someone who has nothing to do with my life, past coworker...she's connected to some of my "freinds"...just happened to pop up. She wrote on her daughter's wall, "I love you more than life."

That was weird to me too...but whatever.

I have no contact with the BM in my situation directly. There used to be more contact and more connection between her and my husband, but even that is nearly gone. As long as she gets her alimony, she stays away.

Still, when she does call for things...very rarely...or comes up at all...it might bug me a tad.

For me, my irritation with it has lessened over time.

So, I would say - TIME. Some things simply take time. Do not be too hard on yourself or expect something from yourself, even if it is something that may not seem rational. I'm not saying it is irrational either. You will handle it just fine with TIME.
