OT? Cat's freak me out!

TickedOff's picture

My sister came to visit and brought her white Persian cat. I woke up to it sitting in my bed staring at me it's eyes glowing. It scared the piss out of me and I fell out of bed. DH woke up laughing and carried the cat back to the living room. My doobies are afraid of it and my jack Russell just barks at it every time she gets near him. I am just not a cat person cats freak me out.

She is always just staring at me with this intense look. Everyone thinks I am paranoid but this cat is freaking me out. She is sitting there just staring at me as I type.

I think cats are hilarios and smart.

My girl kitty used to pat on my cheek to wake me up in the morning, and one morning I woke up to my boy kitty sitting there looking at me and then he burped!

Absolutely! I miss mine sooo much! I know it's kinda silly, but I have so many pictures of my male angel kitty because he was always in a funny pose or doing something silly. Plus, he loved having his picture taken.

As soon as I walked in the door he would have his paws up on my knees wanting me to pick him up, and then would wrap his 'arms' around my neck. I miss that...it's not something you can get from a skid! Biggrin

I'm with you. Cat's freak me out too.

My neighbor has three cats. I'm allergic. I can't leave the front door or patio door open for a second because they'll invade.

Drac0: "GAH!!! How did you get in here! Shoo! Shoo! Go away!"

Neighbor's cat: "You're cute! Pet Me!"

"You're cute! Pet Me!"...haha, well that's a compliment, so you should like them!

If you've never had a kitty of your own that you had long enough to bond with, it's difficult to know for sure whether you really like cats or not. IMO Wink

ETA: I know it's hard to like them if you're allergic.

I never liked cats and I doubt my feelings would ever change. I can understand some people's affectiom towards a pet to a certain degree...however, a woman I once dated dumped me because when we made plans to move in together, she wanted two cats (she didn't have any yet). I said no. If she already owned a cat that she was attached to, I would have been more understanding but she didn't and there was no reason for her to get a cat other than her wanting them. So I told her "its either the cats or me". She chose the cats.

Last I heard she's dating a guy who already has two kids and they are all allergic to cats. Wonder how that is working out for her.

Well, hopefully it was her loss. Smile

I'm a mom of 3 cats... they can be very funny at times. My one cat Bert likes to follow me around and just stare. Sometimes he will lurk in the hallway and just stare at me.

I don't "love" cats.. however we have 4 and I tolerate them because they don't do any of that weird staring stuff and they will go outside and kill mice in my barn. I am not one to have the cat sit on my lap or anything.. just run along, leave me alone and we'll all get along just fine (hey kind of like skids!)

Cats have a sixth sense.

They sense dog people and those are the people they will cling too.

They are evil and hilarious. Little bastards.

That being said, I have two brats (cats) and they drive me insane most of the time but I don't know what I'll do when they're off to better places.

Evil, hilarious little bastards! Ha! I love it. They really are.

Cats are so weird. I love them.

I have two. One thinks he's a dog. He loves everyone. If a burglar showed up at the door, the cat would let him in and lead him to the jewels. My other one is like Sasquatch or the Loch Ness Monster- she's terrified of people so no ever actually sees her. She only comes out if it's just immediate family (me, DH, BS17 or SS15). She absolutely hated exSS9. Cats can sense evil. LOL!
