First of all, TWENTY-FIVE MORE DAYS of Spousal Maintenance, ladies and gentlemen of StepTalk! Can I get a WOOT WOOT?!

Secondly, Hubby finally got some back pay that was due to him at the beginning of the month. When he got his new job, he had 2 weeks where he was working as a Consultant, and was getting a different pay rate (quite a good one, it's a shame it couldn't stay, but now he has benefits, so we can't complain about THAT!)...he went fulltime permanent status on October 5th & has been getting paid normally for those hours. But we were waiting on a hefty paycheck from his consulting time (80 hours!)

Today it finally arrived in the mailbox. I texted hubby and asked him if he wanted me to open the envelope. I'm sure he wanted to reach through the phone to open it himself, but since that wasn't possible, he told me to go ahead. I did, and the money is ALL There!!

And LASTLY, there is ENOUGH in this paycheck he just got that he can finally pay off the rest of September, All of October and ALL of November's Child support and Spousal Maintenance.

Which means, he will no longer be in Arrears...she will stop her bitching and moaning, and then when December rolls around all he'll have to pay is child support because November 30th is the LAST DAY of Spousal Maintenance!!! Can I get another WOOT?!

OMG, we could really drive her crazy and wait until the last day of November to pay it..BWA HA HA.

The other night when hubby called to talk to Ched, he had to listen to her whine about the money and when she asked him what was going on, he told her, "I'm waiting on my paycheck from when I first started working there." Then Ms. Brainiac asked, "And THEN you'll be sending in the child support?" I wanted to say, "NO, you evil Troll, He and I are going to go on a vacation and blow the money." Geezy peetes, what is going through this woman's mind? She's just dumber than a box of rocks at times.

Okay, I can breathe easier since that check came in, finalllllyyyyyy!!!! Doin' the Happy dance and feeling so relieved.

I hope you and DH can take just a little of that and go and have a drink together, maybe dinner and a little celebration for the 2 of you.

Best wishes!! Hugs Honey!!

Woot Woot!

Personally I'd get it all paid off asap just to stop her whining, though you could always give her a post-dated cheque, explaining that you need to pay yours in and wait for it to clear - that way she can't whine anymore but will still have to wait to cash it.

Oh yeah... That is good news. BM will probably hit the roof - but Great News for you guys.

********She doesn't have to love me or even like me - it doesn't change a dang thing..... So get over it and move on BM!************

Well, thank you everyone! We'll only have 11 more years of child support but as long as she doesn't get greedy (which she already is, so I guess I should say, greedier?!) we'll be able to afford the C/S w/o any problems. Sometimes I just wish we could pay it all at once (not that we HAVE it, mind you, but if we did.....)...of course she'd spend it all in a NY Minute and then would want more. Like I've said in the past, she's not needy, she's greedy!

I mentioned to DH about paying it the last of the month, mentioning, "If we did it then, she wouldn't be able to go out on Black Friday and spend her brains out." He LIKED that idea, but then I mentioned, "Oh, and Ched's birthday as well." (which is the same week as Thanksgiving) He nixed the idea to wait until the end of the month to pay.

The payment went out and SHOULD arrive the 12th, but it'd be nice if it got there earlier so she'd get off his back. We paid it through the Bill Pay w/ our bank (online banking.)

Yes, that's right, we don't even want to spend the price of postage on her, she's just so NOT worth it!

We're getting Ched a computer with the rest of the money. He uses my old computer I bought in 2001. Nothing fancy, but something that is a little more reliable than the one he has.
