Liar Liar and the punishment that seems to work

A lot of upheaval lately in life. Will blog about it all later during the weekend. I have read a lot of posts on here recently of kids lying. About anything and everything. SO came up with an interesting punishment. FSD was busted lying, three times in a day. FSD is learning that lesson of once you break trust it is incredibly hard to rebuild.

SO told her since he could not believe a word that came out of her mouth, she was grounded from speaking to him. Anything she had to say had to be written, in neat cursive and had to fit on a 3x5 card. It is interesting to note that the teenager will not "work" to lie in writing. Seems the truth is all she can find the time or energy to write (amazing how much effort and room it takes to lie in writing).

SO is holding firm, he does not even believe what is written to him and is checking all sources and people involved to ensure he is getting the truth before he answers her on any topic.

I thought it was an interesting punishment, so far it seems to be working!
