Need a happy pill...school is out.

Already in a foul mood...found out school is out. SS is going to be bored, lonely and up SO's butt all the time now. Non-stop Xbox in the living room unless I get bitchy and assert myself. Ugh. Getting some wine now. Sad

Wow so soon? My SS not finished till end month & then it's another week for regents. I should thank my lucky stars.

You ever see those Real Housewives with their wine businesses? We should do a StepMom Wines line. We'd sell VATS at a time.

I know, right, Shook? I was unpleasantly surprised. But starting in June, he leaves for his mom's house for 5 weeks. Woo hoo!

SO did get me a wine a while back called Mad Housewife. I'll start thinking up some names for our new line.

I manned up and asked SO if he'd consider moving the xbox from the living room to SS' bedroom for the weeks he's home during the summer. SO said no, because he may want to play it too. The negotiation started and so I asked if SO would agree to no xbox after 8:30 at night. He agreed, and said he'd make SS stop playing right now since he's been playing for three hours. Thank you SO!

And then SO tells SS he now has to practice his saxaphone for 3 hours before he can play xbox again. 1 hour for 1 hour was the deal (we'll see how long that lasts before SO lets up, he likes to talk the talk). SS got pissed, stormed off and slammed his bedroom door. Never thought I'd love the sound of SS slamming his door.

And now...the house is quiet...ahhh, windows are open...can hear the birds chirping.

Well done One...impressive. But just how good is he on the sax? And just how sound proof is your home for 3 hours practice lol.

Yeah there's some funny wine names out there. Just googled, "Momicillin" & "Moms Who Need Wine".

Enjoy your sabbatical come June.

Oh hell, Shook, I didn't think about that, lol! He's not that good. Good thing he's a lazy butt. He won't practice. He'll just wait a few days for his dad to relax the rules again and then start Xbox again. But I think Ive made myself clear, so we'll see.

I did that last year. The step beast started screwing up that soon enough one by one he lost all his luxuries. It's a mexican standoff with who's ignoring who. But think he may have won now in a way because we have two separate living arrangements---long story but it's saving my mental health for at least another 2 months. Wonder if they'll start school early this summer or if I can just make him go...somewhere...

LOL @ Bolivia! Yes, if the van doesn't get stopped at the Battery Tunnel then let's hope it makes it cross state lines. Ahh Outer Mongolia never sounded so beautiful.

I'm with you, the repetitive music cycle and sounds of swords clanking. Ooh, grates on my nerves.

We got a cheap second hand TV solely for the skids x-box so it's permanently connected to that and they never use our TV. It's bad enough having to put up with their crappy TV programmes (restricted to an hour or so after school) on our main TV so there's no way I was going to let them take it over for their xbox games. We're lucky that we have a large living/dining area and we kind of split it off with a big piece of furniture so they have their own xbox area and as long as they don't have the volume too high we can watch our TV programmes without too much trouble.
