These "open letters" regarding steplife must be trending because they keep popping. This one blew my mind https://www.yahoo.com/parenting/a-letter-to-my-stepsons-mother-110662790... ...

I'm sorry if anyone has already posted this because I know these get around, but I wanted to see what ya'll thought of it... Smile

Also, HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Right??? They almost remind me of like written selfies... like "look at me" and how great I am/feel sorry for me!!!

That's what I thought? She actual says "I'm not looking for a pat on the back or anything"

Nope honey, I'm pretty sure you ARE. I mean WTF is the point of this "letter to BM" if they are so close and live together.. just have a chatty with her at dinner and spare the rest of us the gagging you just elicited.

Well, screw that a thousand different ways!

"Brother and sister in another life."

I kind of want to punch her in the throat. Is that wrong? Dirol

Seriously, I'm glad she's got unicorns shitting rainbows over there but in the real world people aren't always on such great drugs.

Yeah, well, I had hopes of our families blending and that there just be more adults who cared about what was best for the child(ren).

Too bad that does not work when one or more of the "adults" are not or are mentally unstable.

I would never, ever, ever, ever, EVER in a million years have BM in my life if my DH wouldn't have been so stupid as to procreate with her.

I think they are setting up that kid for some bad mojo. He is absolutely going to believe that every male deserves two women and will be in shock when his girlfriends hit the ceiling when they find out about the other one. And so on and so forth. I can think of a million scenarios where this arrangement is going to sabotage the boy.

And what about the mom? Does she never date? Hi, I'm Sarah. I live with my ex-boyfriend. Oh! and with his wife, of course! Dial tone bzzzzz.....

Isn't that the truth! The whole situation doesn't seem healthy. It's one thing to co-parent and get along for the kids BUT this is taking it to a whole new level. seriously dude, wtf. lol. :jawdrop:
