Police report filed...
So the state police came by yesterday and dh filed a report on sil for opening two credit cards in his name. The officer was actually familiar with my sil and said he arrested her before for stealing license plates. She is currently on bond for check deception. Seeing a pattern? He said he was going to issue a warrant. Unfortunately, now dh is scared a nd worried about some sort of retribution. His family has some effed code, if that's what you want to call it, that you don't "snitch" on family. You would think they would have a code about not stealing from family, but evidently that's ok. I feel like they are a whole lotta talk and no action.

He doesn't speak to anyone in
He doesn't speak to anyone in his family any longer other than occasionally mil-and only her because she has ss. So you know, she calls every couple weeks asking for money or whatnot. He hast talked to sil in a month- his dad and brother he hasn't spoken to for a couple of months. I think he was initially reluctant to file the report since it breaks " the code" but he really didn't have much of a choice unless he just wanted to pay her debts. The only way to clear it off our credit was to file the report and she blatantly had her name as the shipping and billing address.
There is no honor among
There is no honor among thieves...that has to be lowest form of theft. Stealing from your own family members. If your husband's family takes it out on him, I would honestly sever all ties. That is very sad.
He thinks they might try and
He thinks they might try and kill him. Seriously. How effed up that you would even think this is a serious consideration? He told me a story of how when he was a teen ager his sister's boyfriend did her wrong or some shit and he took my dh, loaded up the car with baseball bats, and went to this guys house. Fortunately he wasn't home. My dh was a kid and he took him on this crazy bullshit vengeance beating. So yeah he thinks his dad and his brother might kill him or try and hit him from behind with a ball bat.
My guess is that those days are over for my fil and my bil has always been a pussy- but dh just says you never know what crazy people will do.
Get a restraining order on
Get a restraining order on ALL of them! Hope that no serious damage is done but the second they set foot within the perimiter of the order call the cops!
