The “not me” gremlin and the adult “Child” living in my home

Last weekend I spent at my mothers (nursing her well, she had a second round of face lift surgery… Joan Rivers would be proud) anyway… I was there from Friday mid-day to Sunday night
.

Sunday late morning, The Mister came home from a Wal-Mart run to find Leech (his son) CLEANING THE KITCHEN… and Leech out a puncture hole in the sink… (we have a stainless steel sink) The Mister said “how’d that happen??”

“Not me” Must have been cprestons’ kid… it looks like SHE was using the scissors or something to break ice… and it put a hole in the sink

Really?

Hey, cprestons’ kid… do you know how this hole got in the sink?
Nope, no idea.

Suspicious behavior #1
He’s cleaning the kitchen… he hasn’t cleaned anything more than twice in the last two years

Suspicious behavior #2
The immediate accusation of my kid – why point a finger? If you just discovered it… then show it to your Pop and move on

Suspicious behavior #3
The story about HOW my daughter supposedly put a hole in the sink… if you’re gonna lie… don’t make up an elaborate story… just stick to the basics.

So The Mister fixed the hole in the sink with some bonding stuff and the “mystery” remains unsolved… (in his eyes)

When I came home from my mother’s last weekend, I put the charger in the wall by the bar in the dining room
Yesterday morning, I went to grab my phone charger to take to work… my phone battery was nearly dead.
The charger was gone
I called Mister, he didn’t have it… he’s only got the one up in the bedroom

I had THREE house chargers… I now have NONE!

When I got home from work, Leech was already home.
I asked “did you take the charger from the bar in the dining room?”
“not me”
Really? Because I used to have THREE house chargers and now… they’re all gone
“not me… maybe your daughter took it”
No… see she WOULDN’T take it because she has an iphone and it’s not the same charger…WHY would you blame it on her?
“because it was not me”

EVERY CHARGER That I have put in the dining room has gone missing…
You, me, your g/f and The Mister all have the same type of charger… the Mister has ONE charger in the bedroom, I now have NONE… because I put my chargers in the dining room and now they’re all gone….

Will you at least LOOK in your room because I am out THREE chargers now

“it was not me… I didn’t take it”

The mister walked in the door at that moment…I explained what was going on…
Mister tried the same line of questioning…got the same response
“not me”

So I blew up… I guess we have a ghost or a gremlin living in our house, that just breaks things and makes stuff disappear… because it’s NOT YOU right??

He got mad and left…I poured myself a drink and went outside to smoke a cigarette

The Mister went to Wal-Mart and bought me a new charger… because I threatened to tear the loft apart, in search for my phone charger… and he said that I have to “respect their privacy”

Oh and then he suggested that I NOT keep the charger in the dining room… WHAT THE HELL? I can’t leave MY things in the dining room of OUR House without having to worry about someone taking it?

Why do you have to respect his privacy if he's living in your home? My house, no expectations of privacy unless you're changing or bathing.

I'm gonna buy this... and I'm going to super glue it to my new charger... and the next time it "disappears" I'm gonna hit the button and let the "Loud distinctive sound that can be heard for hundreds of feet" tell me where my charger is!

Nothing Can Hide from the KeyRinger!

LOL

I have the same problem with chargers. SD15 takes all of them. We started out with 5 of the same phone charger. The only one left is mine and she is not getting her hands on it!! She takes them and leaves them at peoples houses and never looks for them again. She just comes home and takes another one!!!

I need a keyringer too!!

Luckily DH finally put a new doorknob on our bedroom door and it has a key lock!! So excited for when she tries to come in and steal my stuff and she can't get in!!
