Happy Anniversary to us :)

DH and I have been married 7 years today. 12 years ago today, he asked me to be his wife. I said yes immediately but we took our time. We knew we loved each other enough, but wanted to make sure the whole "blended family" thing wasn't going to cut our marriage short. Looking back, I wish we hadn't waited so long, but at the same time, things happened exactly how they were supposed to.

I love this man. I'm a little sad that he is in Florida until Wednesday, but we are going on a cruise this weekend. So he made up for it Smile

Next month he will be the big 4-0!! We are going to Hilton Head S.C. for 5 days, and when we land on that Friday, his mom and brother will be waiting at the airport to surprise him. His mom has been surprisingly well behaved and I couldn't ask his brother to come out and not his mom since they live in the same town, that is population 7 (literally). His mom would have found out no doubt.

Smile I am a happy wife.

BM would LOVE it if DH and I split up. Her stepmom just told me last week that she heard a rumor a while back that DH and I were divorcing and she was just beside herself with excitement. Sorry BM, that was just an ugly rumor started by an ugly person. And we were aware the rumor was being spread. When you are the President of a Little League with 700 kids in it, people like to say a lot of things about you. Wink Sorry to disappoint, I'm not going anywhere.

Congratulations! DH and I had an anniversary last week - and we BOTH FORGOT!!! A few days later I saw the date on something and said "guess what?"

Glad we could both laugh about it. That's what happens when one is retired and never looks at a calendar. But he did remember my birthday a few days earlier.
