New level of lazy!

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

I've noticed SheSloth has developed a new level of lazy! Seems her new thing is sleeping in the clothing she plans on wearing the next day so that she can sleep in longer, without having to worry about getting dressed! I've noticed the last few days that when she comes home, she is is the same clothing she was wearing the night before at bed time! And yes, this means that the daily wearing of leggings as shirts or yoga pants is back, now that the weather has taken a turn to the cooler side of things. Yesterday, it was yoga pants and a long-sleeved t-shirt tied at the waist to keep the shirt at waist length. I think today it was her see-through leggings, as at least that is what she had on at bed time tonight, with another waist-length shirt. Of course, this is with her Toms and no socks, which leave her feet smellier than any guy's I've ever known.

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

DH doesn't pay close enough attention! Seriously, if I called him right now and asked him what SheSloth wore to school today, though he drove her, he won't remember! And there is a boy. Hair and makeup always have to be on point every day...trust me...and she bathes. Clothing? Always an issue because it involves work. She doesn't like to wash, she doesn't like to put it away. There is a mountain of clothes at the bottom of her closet...clothes thrown all over the room...clothes hanging out of opened drawers of the dresser. All mixed in with the other trash. Her idea with clothing is to spray with perfume so it doesn't smell. As for wrinkles? She stuffs herself into her clothes...thinks it's sexy...so I guess she flattens out the wrinkles that way.

Drac0's picture

My SS actually sleeps "on top" of his bed. As in, he won't go underneath the sheets. He does this to avoid having to make his bed in the morning. If he gets cold, he grabs a beach towel.

Drac0's picture

Fold towel?

My GOD! All this talk about hanging up towels and folding towels is giving me a "Neo waking up in the Matrix" moment!

Woah...

What are these mythical activities!?!? Are these done in civilized homesteads or on another planet or something?

Calypso1977's picture

my SD will wear gigantic t-shirts (like men's large/x-L) and knot them at the back with a rubber band.

looks so freakin' stupid.

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

I remember those things! I never really used them...was more the punk rock look than the preppy look when I was in school. Skinny jeans with a band shirt that was too big (usually black) and boots...that was me.

Aniki-Moderator's picture

SEE-THROUGH leggings?? I think those leggings are in serious need of a big ol' runner right in the crotch area from getting snagged on SOMEthing...

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

LOL!! I think they are see-through because they are too small for her, really. You know...stretch the fabric too much...she stuffs herself into them anyway, and wears short shirts with them. DH has told her no leggings as pants, unless she is wearing a long shirt, a dress that is too short to actually be a dress, or an oversized sweater. He doesn't enforce it, however, so she still dresses as she wishes, which makes her look really stupid!

Accordn2L's picture

If she is sleeping in these clothes, don't they look all wrinkled up in the morning? What's the point in hair and makeup for the boys if your outfit looks like shit? And seriously how much time can that be saving her LOL??

So Dad drove her to school but couldn't tell you what she has on? Better hope she isn't abducted because he won't know what he last saw her wearing!

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

He has to be in a bad mood to tell her to turn around and change. Of course, her excuse is that she is going to guard practice, and claims to have clothes to change into after guard (since this is supposedly why she needs to be at school early EVERY day, and it is on her schedule as 1st period). Of course, she never changes out of them, but he doesn't see her when she gets home, unless he is picking her up from an after-school guard practice...so she says she had to change back into the clothes. I see her on the days she doesn't have practice and comes home instead, and what she walks in wearing is the same crap she left in!

Yes...she supposedly has before school AND after school practice!

Accordn2L's picture

She is quite the little liar! And DW hasn't figured it out... do SM's just come with extra smarts that DW and DH lose?

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

We must! Just like I know her tales when she lies...eyebrows all over her face! Total up position when she is trying to defend her point...total frown position when she is trying to act like she has no clue what you are talking about! Guess it is because we are phased by the skids' spells. Strange thing is, we can also read our own bios' BS...so it must be something that some parents have and other's don't. When BD23 used to lie to me, she would get supper agitated and defensive, and her voice would get high pitched. BS19 would look away a lot...tried to avoid eye contact. My bios didn't lie to me often, because they learned very early on in life I saw through their BS, so why even try. Just take the lumps and move on. I never could understand how DH can't pick up on these kinds of things.

Goincrazy40's picture

My skids sleep ON TOP of their beds all of the time so we don't give them shit over not making their beds … LOL. They have not yet sunk to the low of sleeping in their clothes for the next day yet. Probably only because they haven't thought of it. They do often however, wear the days clothes to sleep in, on top of covers, because it is tooooo haaaaard to get undressed and into some pajamas. Or into undies in the case of the SS15. Geez. L.A.Z.Y.

Aniki-Moderator's picture

PrincASS15 not only sleeps in his clothes, he wears the same clothes ALL WEEKEND. Whatever he has on Friday when he arrives is what he goes home in on Sunday. I have NO idea if he has a change of clothes in his backpack. Then again, I don't see how it matters. He rarely moves from the computer or couch so I doubt he's worked up a single drop of sweat or raised his heartbeat over 65 all weekend.

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

Oh, SheSloth would do this if it wasn't for having to go to church on Sunday morning! Now, when she goes to BM's? Yeah, she is wearing the same thing she was dropped off in when she is picked up. On Saturday's? Around 4 p.m. (unless we go somewhere that SheSloth thinks may be to her benefit to go...like if she thinks there will be any shopping involved), DH will finally look at her and say, "So, you plan on taking a shower and changing clothing at any point today?"

And she wears like the same handful of items over and over and over and over...and it is like 2+ months between days she washes clothes...so how many times does she wear an item before it's washed is a mystery! If you saw how much clothing she has (and the fact she asks for new items of clothing every time we are out), you would expect in that 2 months' time you would never see her wearing the same thing twice! But that isn't the case! Of course, when DH gets on to her about washing, she has to wash it all (and it takes a whole weekend) because with everything on the floor and stuff like that, you can't tell what never got worn and what is dirty.

Aniki-Moderator's picture

I'd be willing to bet a glass of wine that PrincASS15 has a change of clothes in his backpack. The only reason being that once before he did NOT have a clean shirt. DH only drove by BioMonster's for a clean one because it was on our way. He told PrincASS15 that he'd better have one from then on because if it happened again, his butt would be sitting at home.

That link above to the picture was hilarious. SD19 came home from her fast food job one day this past summer and joined DH and I on the deck. She laid down in her work uniform, on her belly, and said how tired she was. Right in front of me. Her leggings looked like the ones in the link to the picture above. I said, "SD19 you can see right through your pants!" Of course, she had a thong on so NO panty lines, I almost asked her if she was wearing underwear. SD19 replied, "But my shirt is long enough."

Maybe in the front, but in the back it only covers the top third of your ass! DH was with us and didn't say a word. I wish my stepfather was my Skids' stepfather. Maybe I can leave them with SPopa for a weekend lol!

I really don't know if the girl is really as clueless as she plays off to be, or if she is just so big a snob she doesn't care!

Last night we had praise team practice at church. You could imagine my disappointment when DH came rolling home with SheSloth in tow...no "deaf church" tonight as I thought there was. If there was no "deaf church", why did DH have to go pick up SheSloth from school? Oh, because she stayed after to supposedly because her and the rest of the guard had to retape things...at least that was her story to DH. Sounds so much like last year when she was dating the ex...every day there was SOME reason she had to stay after school...work on a school project, something guard, had to go do a makeup test, etc. All this crap suddenly started when she started going steady with the ex, and just as abruptly stopped when they broke up. Hmmmmm.....

So anyway...my disappointment was in that I knew that SheSloth was either going to be drug along with us or left home alone...neither of which I'm very keen on happening. In this case, she was left home alone and told she was to make sandwiches for dinner. While we are gone, DH tries many times to call SheSloth, but she doesn't answer her phone. She finally picks up when we are on our way home, and says that she fell asleep. Possibly true, because she sleeps more than a sleeping giant. When we get home, there are breadcrumbs on the counter next to the fridge, a crumpled napkin next to the microwave, a knife with mayo on it on the center island, and a cup by the sink. DH calls out SheSloth and tells her to clean up her stuff in the kitchen. She seriously just stands there in the middle of the kitchen looking around and says she doesn't see anything! Every little thing has to be pointed out to her. While she is doing that, DH goes to feed the dogs and finds pieces of bread on the floor of the pantry! He points this out to SheSloth...."I have NO idea how those got there!" In other words, she wanted to say she didn't do it, but realized that the only people in the house and me, DH, and herself. DH asks her again, and the response is, "I didn't know they even fell out of the bag." (Note, the bag was twist tied closed, so they didn't just fall out after she closed the pantry) DH goes off on her, "There is no way that you could not have known they fell out of the bread bag! PAY ATTENTION TO THINGS! You really expect me to ever let you drive a car?" SheSloth again says that she doesn't see how this bread thing relates to driving a car. I couldn't resist...had to chime in here, "Because, if you can't pay enough attention to what you are doing to know you dropped bread on the floor, there is no way you are going to notice a person walking along the side of the road or a child who is about to run into the road to get their ball! Not paying attention in a car kills people!" With that SheSloth stomped off to bed!

SheSloth and DH were arguning again this morning. I'm not sure about what...could tell that DH's voice was elevated, but couldn't hear what he was saying. I did here some slamming of doors after about three times, so hopefully, DH told her to go change her clothing. I mean, she was in those see-through leggings again when stomped off to bed, so chanced are that is what she was trying to wear to school again.

Calypso1977's picture

""I have NO idea how those got there!" In other words, she wanted to say she didn't do it, but realized that the only people in the house and me, DH, and herself.""

well, this theory of yours came true! cant blame your son anymore!

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

Yup, yup! Seems she was realizing mid-sentence that she wasn't going to get out of this one or convince DH that she didn't do it! "I didn't know they even fell out of the bag." Okay...go ahead and play dumb, but that isn't going to win you anything either! Gonna shoot herself in the foot either way...she admits to it, and admits she was too lazy to pick it up. She acts clueless, well then she must be too clueless to have any kind of responsibility (including a car). I'm almost shocked she didn't try to blame it on the pets!

BarkAtTheMoon's picture

Pets actually HELP to clean up. We never have crumbs on our floor. It's usually the little SDog that trolls around like a scavenger! How do you deal with the door slamming? I have heard of some parents taking the doors off of the hinges of kids' rooms, but then all the funk can be seen and smelled more easily! Ew. And a mayo knife on the island? I would be livid. I bitch at DH every time he cuts steaks etc on our island. He puts the dirty knife on the island and then we have more to clean up. Put it in the sink, on a plate.... gheez.

~ Moon

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

I'm surprised she even got a knife! She makes her sandwiches directly on the counters, because she is too lazy to get and clean a plate! That is why there are ALWAYS crumbs, jelly, whatever on the counters after she makes a sandwich. She has been told about a billion times to get a plate! And the reason the bread was on the pantry floor? She ALWAYS goes into the pantry, unties the bread bag right there on the shelf, gets some bread, and we are lucky if the bag gets tied back up. It was a brand new loaf of bread, so this time, part of the loaf was hanging over the end of the shelf (as the shelf is not deep enough for the entire length of a new loaf). So, when she untied the bag, bread fell to the floor. You can't tell me she didn't notice this! She is too lazy to take the bag out of the pantry and put it on the counter next to where she is working before untying and getting bread, and then have to return the bread back to the pantry.

Same thing with the sandwich meat...reason the crumbs are next to the fridge. She puts her bread on the counter. She can't take the pack of meat out of the fridge, close the fridge, open the pack and get what she needs, reseal pack, and then open the fridge to return it. No, she stands there with the fridge open while she maneuvers the meat out of the package while it is still in the drawer of the fridge, and never bothers to zip it back up (I went behind her and zipped it last night to avoid having to throw yet more food away).

Just plain laziness!!! And it isn't like she hasn't been told! She is told all the time to quit trying to take these shortcuts, and do things like a normal human would...but no, that means extra work.

BarkAtTheMoon's picture

OMG you and I are going to have to put fridges in our rooms like TGIHB, so we have our own stash! I got so mad today because SD13 slopped fabric softener all over the bottle in the laundry room last week. How can I not get mad? I'll just stop using the same bottle as her and use the new bottle. Problem solved! We have to be more like our Skids, if we don't look then maybe we won't notice it, either!

~ Moon

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

Oh...I don't have to worry about her touching anything that is important to the rest of us, unless it is crackers...yeah, I discovered those I need to keep in my room. I bought a box for DH to have with chili I made. It was a box with 8 half packs in it, instead of the regular 4 fulls. I figured that maybe SheSloth would be less inclined to "sneak" crackers if they were closed packs. WRONG! DH got 2 packs. When he pulled the second pack and said we were out, I told him, "WTH? I just got that box, and I know that is only your second pack!" Later found empty packs in SheSloth's room!

But the bread and the lunch meat...yeah...that is bought specifically for her to eat, because she will not eat anything else unless it is junk food...or of course, crackers. I zipped up the pack because I'm tired of throwing away half a pack of lunch meat because she leaves it open in the fridge and it goes bad faster that way. Threw more milk away yesterday, too. The quart I bought 2 weeks ago went sour, so guess I'm going to start buying only pints, and possibly stop buying milk altogether. DH threw a fit about SheSloth not eating again last night. I'm thinking tonight I'm going to have one LAST conversation with him about this. See, he has made it this thing to stop by Sonic with SheSloth for slushies...yet he complains that she doesn't eat. I'm going to tell him...

"Look...I know you find it difficult to say no (he has already admitted this), but you have to stand firm on this! You have told her about a billion times that she needs to eat right, and she doesn't do it. Time for action!!! NO MORE sugary drinks until she starts actually eating real food! No more sweets...no more junk! If we go out to eat, she no longer gets to choose what she will eat, you will choose for her, and it needs to be healthy. No soda or sweet tea, she can drink water with lemon. If we go out for ice cream, she can't have any! If you don't eat your fries, they go in the trash or to the dogs...she can't have them. If she asks why, tell her that you can no longer be her enabler! If she asks how long this will last, tell you you don't know...long enough for her to develop healthy habits. Seriously...you cannot cave on this! You have to hold out as long as it takes!" We will see what he says, and if he agrees with me, see how long he can hold out.

Seriously...all the sugar is the reason that SheSloth is still a little bit on the pudgy side though she starves herself. It is a whole science behind the way the body treats sugar, that I won't go into here. Basically, the average female shouldn't have more than 24 g of sugar, and the average male 36 g. More than that, especially in heavy amounts at once (such as a 44 oz slushie with nerds candy in it) will cause the body to build fat stores no matter how little you eat. By not eating, and then drinking all of her calories in sugar, SheSloth isn't doing herself any favors, and is defeating the purpose of starving herself in the first place.

BarkAtTheMoon's picture

I've been an insulin dependent diabetic for 33 years, since elem school. I love sugar, but it is the enemy, I know! Blum 3

lash's picture

yep SD 16 does the same thing Sleeping in the same clothes, leaves dishes, wherever she was at, here lately she states she has to bring shorts to school for PE so she tries to get away with wearing tight jean (short)shorts this doesn't fly with DH as now I no longer care what she does as long as it doesn't affect our BD I don't give a shit, the other day I went to the kitchen for coffee and she was shoving those same shorts into her bag and and hurried and got a sweatshirt on because she was wearing a very low cut top. just a yr and a half left and she is gone.

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

Yeah...I pretty much don't care what SheSloth does. One think I am tired of is money being spent to enable her stupidity, which is the ONLY reason I'm saying anything one more time to DH about SheSloth's diet. I've done my part to quit enabling her...only healthy choices come in this house. Lunch meat is the closest thing to junk food she gets. If I have to buy crackers again for DH, I'm keeping them in my room. I'm also cooking more often as to deter DH from stopping to get dinner at some fast food place. SheSloth rarely eats what I've fixed, and I don't care! DH will call after work and ask if he needs to stop and get something, and I tell him I'm already on top of dinner...we have plenty of food at home to eat.

But these 3-4 stops a week when DH picks up SheSloth after school are adding up at about $4/each for nothing but sugar filled drinks! That is $60+/month spent just on sugary drinks for someone who does not need them! Add to that the cost of adding a soda to her meal whenever we do eat out, and the cost of the food she throws away because she NEVER eats but a few bite of anything she orders...I can think of much better things to do with that money! And who knows, maybe SheSloth will actually start eating right...or maybe she will run back to BM's where she is allowed all the junk!

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

In SheSloth's case, it wouldn't be so bad if it were not for the smell. Problem is, Friday night is football game night! So she is outside for hours, sweating in the heat or getting rained on in the cold, wearing her jazz shoes with no kind of socks at all (because, I'm told, that is how they are supposed to be worn), etc. She comes home, puts on whatever (because her uniform is one things she won't sleep in, but she does keep on the sports bra underneath that she has worn all night), and rolls into bed. Come 4 p.m. on Saturday, if we don't go anywhere that interests her, she is still in that smelly sports bra, with those smelly feet (which she is putting all over the couch if she is in the TV room with us, bugging DH to message them), etc. You would think she would shower before bed! I used to be in marching band back in high school, and it didn't matter when we rolled in...I was taking a shower before I went to bed! I just felt gross after being out there all night! If SheSloth did that, it wouldn't matter if she were still in her pjs at 4:00 p.m., because she wouldn't smell!

CantKeepDoingThis's picture

Oh no...DH hates feet! When SheSloth sits on the couch next to him, she is always trying to put her feet on him, and he pushes her off! It is too funny.
