OSD step daughter looks EXACTLY like her mom

zerostepdrama's picture

OSD likes to pretend that she is super SM. Even though she has hardly been around her skids. And when she has it's just been fun visits because her DH baby mama will keep the kids from him (rightfully so, he's an addict and a thief). She refers to her skids as "my girls", "my daughters". She often likes to brag on social media how she would do anything for them unlike other SMs (me) that she knows

So I guess OSD DH has cleaned up his act enough for the mom to start letting the kids go over there for EOW. So this should be interesting because OSD will actually get a taste of what it's REALLY like to be a SM. Not the 6 fun visits that they have had in 6 years with the kids.

Her skids are 2 girls probably around 10 and 13. The oldest isn't biologically OSDs DH and she looks EXACTLY like her mother. Like EXACTLY.

It's probably bad karma to hope that her skids treat her the way her and her sisters have treated me... buuuuuuttttttttttttttttt..... LOL!

Meh, I give all those rosy "my girls, my daughters, I'd do anything for them" social media postings to dry up in 3, 2, 1....

Will you recognize OSD when she shows up here soon writing 'my DH just got his two girls and it's awful, nothing like what I expected'?

My OSD always kind of blamed her dad (and her mom) for splitting up and "ruining her life". She said he abandoned her and all sorts of drivel over the years. She wasn't a terrible kid, but really was just not very motivated to excel and only wanted material things that her parents couldn't give her and it was not FAIR... she deserved better.

She is now married with a child of her own. She "had" to get married because her BF got her pregnant. Now, I am not hoping that she has a horrible life and gets divorced or cheated on etc... BUT, I do hope that now as an adult she gains an appreciation for the fact that relationships are more complicated than she thought they were as a child. Oh, and she has discovered that it's ok to buy (gasp) used things so that you don't go broke...lol.

It is always nice when the person who thought they knew it all when it came to YOUR life, gets a taste of it too...

And.. it's not like I really mean it in a mean way... but maybe she will look back and realize that in the end, we all just do the best we can and not everyone has that perfect brady bunch life! In away, I sortof blame those "my blinged out sweet 16" and advertising campaigns that make kids think they MUST have and deserve a shiny new car on their 16th bday.

Ugh... I mean, my YSD has some realization and just recently thanked me because I didn't have to treat them as well as I did and she sees how other people have to deal and realizes that I could have beat them..lol.

Of course, we generally do all that good stuff knowing that thank you may never happen at all.

Take screenshots of those MOTY posts... might come in handy down the road. Sounds like Karma is right around the teenage corner.
