We may never see her again...
BM had fallen off the face of the earth. Only posting on FB about once a week. And hadn't called or text SS in a few weeks. Her mom even text me and asked if I had heard from her that she was getting worried. Of course I hadn't. And I told her that she hadn't contacted SS in a while either. The very next day she text SS and told him that she had to move (she was living about 30 minutes away, in the same county) and she doesn't have cell service a landline or internet where she is. He responded "ok".
So, of course I asked her stepmom what was going on today. She said she moved about 2 hours away. Still doesn't have a car. No phone, no TV and no internet... and is all by herself. Apparently the girl she was living with moved and found her a new place to stay for free in exchange for caring for animals. Well the animals aren't there yet, and neither is the woman that owns the home. She is stranded.
Apparently she asked them specifically NOT to tell DH and I where she moved to. Not sure why. It's not like we are going to show up at her door any time soon. According to the ORIGINAL custody paperwork, she is not allowed to move with SS outside of a specific 45 mile radius. This is WAY outside that. But really... does any of that original court order even matter anymore. It is suspended until she goes to rehab so... it's not like she can fight to take him out there. Not that he would EVER want to. I just don't get why it would be such a secret from us. We don't give a rats ass where she lives really. I just wanted to make sure SOMEONE tells her to change her address with SS's insurance company so he doesn't lose that coverage AGAIN.
SS is doing FABULOUSLY. He has all A's and B's on his report card. He just bought himself a dirt bike. And DH no longer travels so they have been able to spend a lot of time together. He is a happy kid.

I hate to say it, but your SS
I hate to say it, but your SS is better off having her just disappear. I wish meth ex would have done the same but she had grand hag who kept on her to try and get custody back. I truly believe SD could have had a better life with out meth ex inserting all her drug drama in it.
You and DH are doing an amazing job raising SS and he's smart enough to not buy into her BS anymore. I know it's sad but sometimes when one parent isn't in the kids life it's for the best.
To me, this is good news. So
To me, this is good news. So happy to hear he is doing so great! You and your DH provide him a wonderful, loving home.
Oh, this is good news for us
Oh, this is good news for us too. And if I had to guess, SS is good with it too.
She doesn't want you to know
She doesn't want you to know because she is delusional and still thinks she has some custody rights. I don't predict this going well. How is she going to buy drugs with no money?
How is she going to buy drugs
How is she going to buy drugs with no money?
Silly girl, one does not need money to get drugs.
that's why it's called the
that's why it's called the drug "trade."
Lol, so true.
Lol, so true.
She finds her ways to get
She finds her ways to get it... she has basically admitted in the past to "trading" herself for drugs. My thought was how will she get it with no phone service, no car and she is out in the middle of nowhere. Again though, she always finds a way.
Right. Unless this lady does
Right. Unless this lady does drugs also.
How in the world does she
How in the world does she have insurance, much less have SS on her "plan"??
Daizy- State insurance. It's
Daizy- State insurance. It's the only thing she is has ever been required to do for SS. I don't care how she gets it, as long as she has him covered.
