YSD to DH: I need an advance on my Christmas gift

zerostepdrama's picture

YSD sent DH a text on Thanksgiving. No Happy Thanksgiving, etc.

YSD: Can I get an advance on my Christmas gift so I can go Black Friday shopping. $150 should do.

WTF????????? :jawdrop:

DH told her no of course.

Never has she gotten $150 worth of gifts from DH for Xmas. So not sure why she thought that this year would be any different.

Then yesterday she texted DH that she got her learners permit and that she needs DH to help her find a car. She did not ask for cash for a car yet... but I am sure it's coming. She doesnt turn 16 until the Spring time.

If she ends up with a junker it will be DH who will always be fixing it. (just like with SS) UGGGGGGGHHHHHHH I CAN NOT handle her over at the house for that shit.... Nope no way nada.

Wow, she's as entitled as "SS"15, asking for his PlayStation back after lying to CPS about DH and I. WTH?

SD14 gave me 2 pages worth of Xmas shit. 7 pairs of sneakers and Dre beats headphones because the pink ones she has don't match her outfits. She also wants a 500.00 Canon camera.

I looked at the list and laughed. She then told me that she told her mother to buy her the camera and that she warned her that if she doesn't get the camera she is moving out and going to her DAD'S house. :jawdrop:
She then proceeded to ask me if we were saving for her trip to Paris for her 16th birthday.
I just walked out of the room.
My DH, sees absolutely NOTHING wrong with this crap.
He has a piggy bank that I am pretty sure has over $500.00 worth of coins. I told him he should just cash in the piggy bank, buy her the camera and be done with it.
Knowing him, he'll use the coins, buy the camera and then be SAD that she is only opening ONE present at our house. That's how he rolls...

When SD was 18 or so, we went out to dinner Thanksgiving weekend, and she told DH what she wanted for Christmas. She told DH that she was going to make it easy on DH and BM and only want things for her car. It would only cost DH $800 for his share. Both DH and I laughed and he said NO. Unreal how they think their parents are made out of money.

An advance on her Christmas gift? Wow. What nerve. And obviously she doesn't know anything about the value of money if she thinks your husband has spent that much on her before.

He always gives the skids a $50 gc. That is how it has been since I have been with him. Last year I bought gifts with the $50 instead of DH doing the gc. But I still just spent $50. Even with stuff on sale, it could not have been mistaken for $150.

That is expecting too much. If he were to lay into her for her poot behavior that would mean he would have to risk hurting her feelings.

I give my bios their Christmas money early if they need it for a bill or to shop for xmas. Their money so I don't care when or how they spend it but they get no more on the actual day.

My DS is getting a tire for Christmas and 1 from my sister and he has to pay for 2 of them.

That sounds fair.

When I was 17, I got tires for my car for Christmas. I had no complaints! (Car was old, and my mom was able to get a really good deal for me, so it wasn't a huge expense way back when. Dating myself here!)

Sounds like SS14. He told DH a couple months ago that DH had 4 years to come up with the 65k a year that SS wants to go to college. Just love the entitlement these kids have. All I can say is BM is teaching them well. See, they can learn things.

At least your DH doesn't spend $500-$600 on her for Christmas...yeah, can you say SPOILED??!!
