No, no, no, she has not reared her fugly head.

DH just got a notification that he received a child support payment. He texted me "a new low." So, I logged in. Yep, new low...

12/19/2016 Electronic Funds Transfer $178.51

She is still in arrears to the tune of a little less than $9300.

My land, how long has it taken him to get this far in arrears??

I did payroll for a temp agency many moons ago and will never forget... there was a guy employed by them, who had 3 different CS orders that came in every 2 weeks for 3 different women, and the one he was in arrears $98,000.00!!!! I was shocked he even bothered working... I mean his whole check went to CS and if you're that far behind, you're NEVER going to catch up!

"Thank you, Medusa, Christmas can happen, now." GIANT eye roll (I think my eyeballs are stuck in the back of my head).

I just tallied it up and I received about 13% of the total court ordered amount of CS in the past 12 months. And it was only "that much" because I threatened him with court/jail so he made an effort at the beginning of 2016. I realized a long time ago I wasn't going to get the court ordered amount as I should and just counted my blessings that I could afford to take care of BS myself.

I just don't understand your Medusa. If a non custodial father pulls what she does, the courts would be on him like a bat on a ball. (At least where I am, they would be).

you're right in your assumption.

There is an income withholding order, but she "works" at the company that bought her company out, she's on straight commission, and the agreement to keep her name on the house accounts for three years is now over. Of course, she will do NOTHING to actually try to sell anything, as that would increase her earnings.

Here's the stupid part - when she tried to get her support lowered at the beginning of this year, she was forced to turn over her paycheck stubs to Awesome Attorney. She gets paid every two weeks.

In Michigan, the state is not allowed to garnish more than 50% of one's wages. We discovered that her checks were being garnished at 50% - and she was trying to argue that she just couldn't live on the $800 or so that she was bringing home a month. No shit, Medusa - that's why I pushed so hard to find out about MedusaStore and its earnings.

So, the $178 that DH got is one half of what her check was, or $356. Does she expect anyone to believe that she lives on less than $800 a month?

If she continues paying $178 per month for the next year, AND she continues to have to pay $977.50 per month, DH will receive a total of $2136 for the entire year while her arrearage will still be where it is today.

The state will report her to credit agencies from time to time, but since she lives under the table, there's not much of an impact.

The Spy Who Loved Me told me recently that MedusaCrapStore will be closing in February. I am gonna have to have her do some intel for me.

OMG One time Chef accidentally got into arrears for less than one month--around $600 and NYS was threatening to take his driver's license away!!!

Guess we don't yet have gender equality.

thinkthrice's picture

Yep, Chef switched jobs and BOOM they were on him like white on rice!! And god forbid if you ever temporarily help a dude by paying a teensy amount of his CS for him. All of a sudden the CSEU wants to know who you are, if said dude is "working for you," who you are to said dude.

THIRD DEGREE and this happens when there are ZERO arrears!!

hubby was behind one month when he and i met (151/wk). he had to take a "fatherhood class" with CSE or they'd suspend his license, and we gradually paid it off.

the stupid bitch is now approximately 5,535.53 in arrears. 38.71 per wk is what she is supposed to pay... and of course she doesnt. and nothing happens.

Tell me about it. Where I live, a woman has access to funding from organizations to cover family law legal expenses that a man doesn't simply because she is a woman. Doesn't matter if she has the higher income or not. Doesn't matter if the man is the better parent, or not.

Also a person going to court requesting money can write their legal expenses off. A person they expect to to pay, cannot.
In our case, BM is going after more money than she is entitled to and double dipping. She supplied false information, omitted other information, has lied and still is lying, yet she can still claim the legal expenses on taxes.
SO can't pay that much and already offered her more than she is entitled to. He had to hire a lawyer to not only to figure out a fair payment but also to get the real information from BM. Even if the courts agree with SO, he doesn't get to claim the expenses on his taxes because he is the payer...

that's not even going to cover the food for Christmas on Friday, FFS. Of course, I am having 14 people, but still.

Not a birthday or Christmas card in almost 5 years. Not a text message or email since April 2012 - and those were inappropriate, if you recall.

MOTY, indeed.

the ones that told Babyvoice she missed her soooooo much she slept with her doll to feel better. Barf

the ones that told BV how to harm Sheba.

the ones that called DH and me every name in the book.

Yeah - those are the ones.

to be honest, I am not even sure it would cover the bar tab for you, me and Aniki Smile

My BFF, who became a widow at age 51 last month, and I had dinner and drinks one night last week. The cocktails were expensive and many and the total bill was more than Medusa's shitty CS payment.

I have an open concept kitchen/dining room/family room. Straight shot from the fridge to the couch Smile

I have NO doubt that if Chef ever got custody (god forbid) the Girhippo, who makes WAY more than Chef and has Cadillac benefits wouldn't pay a CENT in CS.

well of course not, silly. She has a vagina, which means not only is she the superior parent, she shouldn't have to actually contribute to her children's upbringing. That's what ex-hsubands, er I mean wallets, are for.

I think you're being too hard on her. She's trying her best. Here's where that eye roll emoji would come in handy.
