I pulled up apps for ss13 for both private and charter schools in our area. We asked him to start to fill out the applications. It's been a week and even with constant "reminding" and even coaching with him at the kitchen table, he has yet to complet the app for the charter school.

But it gets better.

All the schools request financial info from both households (even with bm barely starting to do her EOWe bisits for the past year). We told ss13 that we could try but we'll need bm to participate and do her part - especially filling out forms for financial aid.

Bm told SS that she can't fill anything out until after dad takes her to court for child support and it's all dad's fault that she's now in this position.

Sidebar: bm abandoned SS at age 5. Dh supported SS fully in his own and had to resort to food Stamos at times. Divorce became final 2 years ago (dh is an idiot) and no support was awarded. Dh has now contacted the child support agency in our county and it's pretty cut and dry that she will (finally) have to provide some sort of support for her son. Prior to this, she has sent him home with dollar store socks, a box of Kleenex, and refused to pitch in for his school supplies, clothing, etc
