To all the preggos and moms with new babies….

Did any of you get pregnant using Clomid? I’m looking for some hope here!

I haven't seen you post here in ages...unless we just keep missing one another. How are you doing? I miss seeing you here.

I'm crossing my fingers for you....

Hugs,
Candice

Now that I’ve changed jobs and I actually have work to do during the day while I’m at work, the only time I can get on here is evenings and weekends...by that time the discussions are pretty much done so I mostly read to see what's going on with everyone but I hardly ever post...

As far as stepfamily life is concerned...I’m so over it! I've decided it's not worth the headaches it causes or the money spent on the Vodka trying to kill the headaches. My new "position" is "do whatever the hell you want to do and I'll decide how and most importantly IF I want to deal with it." I've drifted from ever involved step mom into "nanny" while the kids are here and when they leave, out of sight out of mind. I know it sounds bad but that's where I am right now and I’m fine with it!

Schedule changes, WHATEVER! If I’m here I’m here if I'm not, go get McDonalds! New psycho "step-dad" (aka mom's new screw) every couple of months...Hey, if your mom likes it I LOVE it (as long as he doesn't physically harm you)! Planning outings, parties, activities, ect...not doing it...too much hassle and more communication then I really care to have at this point in time. Rushing you around the city to attend the events your mom scheduled on your time here...not doing that either! If she wants you there she can provide a way for you or Daddy can take you but when it comes to disrupting MY schedule...NOT LIKELY!

I guess this is the result of 5 years of Drama...now i'm pretty much Drama free.

I feel exactly the same way. I was trying to be super step-mom when I arrived on the scene. Now 5 years later, I am hardly involved at all. I don't even go to school events anymore. I don't pick up or drop off the kids. These are my husbands kids. My newest approach is that they are human beings that deserve love and respect and I do my best to do that in my home when they are here. I try to make meals that they will like but many nights I leave the meal making to my DH when he has the kids. I don't tell them when to go to bed, to shower, nothing. I am sooo much happier this way. I don't say it out loud like this, but "not my kids...not my problem" Have a nice weekend!!!!
