i was just checking in, and thinking about how WELL things have been going the last 2 weeks... Then Lazy Boye 18 comes in and starts telling his brothers to get cleaned up and dressed because we're ALL going out to dinner. Um, NO. Just me, Lazy Boye, DH and the in-laws. It was a meal for just the 5 of us before Lazy Boye leaves for boot camp this weekend. A dinner I have been planning out for the last 3 weeks, all DH had to do was set the date with his parents. A dinner which I had picked up an extra night of tutoring for to be able to pay the bill...

So I text DH and ask about the change in plans? He doesn't answer me. Then he calls to say he is on his way home from his parents' and says "Yes. They're all coming. That's just the way it is now."

When I asked about the extra expense, he told me he'd pay, not to worry...

And this is how I think it went down... i'm sure my wonderful MIL made a comment about how bitchy it was of me to exclude the other 2 boys- my other SS and my BS. If I was taking BS but not SS, then I could see her being pissy, but I didn't want anyone but Lazy Boye, because I wanted the spot light to be on him. (Not to mention save another $25 by keeping them at home.)

And it's not like i was starving them. Even though I'm terribly sick today, I spent about an hour preparing a lasagna this afternoon for the other 2 boys to eat while we were gone.

Ugh. now I don't even feel like going. I wasn't really looking forward to being with the in-laws anyway. And now I've got the other two tagging along... yea, me.

But I'm working on seeing the positive light in things. So now I plan to order steak. And I'll take my extra money tomorrow and get a pedicure and some new clothes.
