My last blog got me thinking about "Staring" Whats up with the creeper stares from SD? Do your Skids stare at you???

LaMareOssa's picture

I'm not talking about a glance, or listening stare. I mean more of a creepier stare/look. Sometimes it's a look of disgust. Most of the time it's just creepy stare. Full blown stare and sometimes I get the corner of her eye stare. She's not studying me. It's just weird and actually uncomfortable when she does the sneaky or corner of her eye stare.

I was checking on the kids outside playing in the yard and when I glanced out the sliding glass door screen, SD11 was staring at me from across the yard.. Like she was watching me in the kitchen. It was strange.

Is this a kid thing? I know DD7 doesn't stare at people and I don't think I've ever had a kid look at me with the same look SD has.

CREEPY. Do your Skids stare at ya'll like this?!?!?!

I'm sure I just look all distorted and evil to SD..Like a troll or zombie Dirol

Ss11 stares a lot. Its super creepy. Its like he's watching TV....just a dead stare until you say something to him.

Usually I just say "can I help you?" Or "do you need something?" And he just say no and walks away. Its really weird and I have no idea why he does it.

YEAH! I've caught her doing it when it was pretty obvious and I would say "Hey, whats up?" She would get a look of psycho and say "Nothing" and walk away slowly. PSYCHO!

LOL - she's taking inventory....

"hmmmm, is there anything in here *I* feel should rightfully belong to me???"

Keep an eye out, things'll be disappearing and you'll find them in the basement...

SD17 used to do this until I told her she was a creeper and to KNOCK IT OFF!

DH and I would be watching a movie in the livingroom and she would come in and stand there and just staaaaaaaare.

Yep-although more alarming for me was the fact that my ss15 would stare at my dd15 and in fact still does at school. They had gym class together and she said at times she would look up and he'd just be staring at her. She thought maybe she was imagining it, but her friends began noticing and alerting her when he was doing it. He has attempted some sexually inappropriate things towards her so to me this is all part of the creepy perpetrator behavior.

Last spring/summer-I had confronted him on something and he told me I was lying. When I told him I did not lie and had no need to do so-he stared at me with a very dead eyes and smiled a creepy smile and told me everyone lied. Quite frankly, I've never been more scared of him than in that moment.

I call SD16 the creeper!!! She has been staring at me since day one and it really creeps me out. Its to the point that when I am driving and she is in the passenger seat I always wear sunglasses. I can see her staring at me out of the corner of my eye.

The other night DH was driving and I was in the passenger seat. SD was sitting behind him but she never stopped staring at me. It is so weird!!! Why????

She will come into the kitchen and just stare. When she was younger she used to give me the I want to kill you stare whenever I went near DH!!

My SS17 whom we have had custody of for the past 3 years, stares... Mostly at me while we are all together... I've started getting to the point that if I catch him I would ask him what he wanted and he'd turn away, now I just stare back until he gets uncomfortable... It's kinda hard yet empowering! I don't WANT to stare at him, he's creepy anyways, but I'm hoping a taste of his own medicine will fix things.

Yes geez SO's son does the blank vacant stare I sometimes wait for him to start drooling. I always check of he's spacing stupid or seizing because I truely believe he's had absence seizures in the past. Most of the time it's the stupid stare of I'm not getting what your saying even though it's something I understood yesterday. The rest is just nobodies home spacing. It bugs me though i blame their pos mother we know she got high when she was pregnant with the kids but SO suspects more than just weed

sd20 used to stare at me constantly. i can happily say that she hasn't done it since she moved out 3 years ago, other than when she was doing her weird shit at the store. for years, she would stare at me in the car from the back seat. if i was on the phone, she was staring HARD CORE, most likely dying to know what the whole conversation was. she would walk into a room and just stand there and stare. if i was talking to someone in person, she would stare at me. pretty much everything i did warranted a stare out of her. i never witnessed her do this to anyone but me. very weird. i would just ignore her. i wouldn't even look at her. i still don't know why she did it, but i'm glad she stopped.

Wow. You wouldn't believe the stares I get by my SS. The movie "Psycho" comes to mind when I see him look at me and that would be why I sleep with my door locked. You are not alone.

My SSstb16 does this. Sometimes I leave my bedroom and find him in the hall, simply standing there, hands limp at his sides, STARING at the door to me bedroom. When he sees me just keeps it up, a vacant, unblinking staaaaaare. And he's in the hall facing our room, it's not like I caught his eye while going anywhere. Or, I'll be in the kitchen, and he will lurk at the door and just "skulk" around the corner staring at me.

Nothing from me makes any difference. Not even screaming WHAT????

Oh yeah, got this one going on too. Mainly from sd(stb)13, but ss(stb)10 does it sometimes too.

We'll just be sitting, doing whatever and I'll feel her eyes on me... look up nd sure enough she's doing either the corner of the eyes creepy thing or outright staring.

I used to ignore, now I just stare back til she drops her eyes.

I think she does it to upset me, but F*ck that, I will NOT be intimidated by a child in my own home (or wherever)

SD13 used to follow me around everywhere. Now her eyes do instead.

As I played with DS this morning, I noticed her staring at me. The baby had ran in a different direction and yet she was still looking at me. Not a blank goofball stare where she is daydreaming, no, a calculating stare.

I looked back at her and she blinked several times and looked away. Gosh! So friggin weird!!!!!

oh and of course dh didnt notice. Never notices anything.
