Why Am I So Stupid???
Why don't I listen to you guys?
Once SD24 was planning to move back here from Colorado, you all told me..."Don't even let her stay the night after her flight, she'll just find a way to stay."
Since her money got stolen, I agreed to let her and the grandson stay for ONE week, and one week only. You all told me, so I definitely deserve a big "I told you so".
DW had a conversation today with SD24 regarding Saturday being her last night living with us. Now SD24 is saying that she can't stay with her older sister, because her landlord doesn't want a little kid running around all the time.
I am so fucking sick and tired of SD24 just sitting around, waiting until the last minute for somebody else to sort things out for her. She never freaking has a clue, she never has a plan, she just does whatever pops into her dumb ass head and when it doesn't work she wants someone to bail her out.
At this point I don't care if she lives under a bridge sucking penis for the rest of her life, she is NOT staying past this weekend. It just never ends with her!!!!!!!!

Surprisingly, my DW is standing by me on this one. SD24 really has no choice at this point because I refuse to allow her to live with us again.

They won't do it unless she is fleeing from a domestic violence situation.
Plus with her last apartment, the welfare office paid her deposits for her. Of course she didn't pay rent, so they won't do that again for her.
Not to mention she gets $400 a month in food stamps, plus $400 in cash assistance each month
Tell her she has to contact
Tell her she has to contact ALL the homeless shelters, refugees, women's shelters etc etc.. There are lots of charities out there that could assist her. Put it this way - if you and your DW moved overseas/out of state, where would she go? She has to learn to be responsible for herself and her child.
In this instance, I think you need to be cruel to be kind.
When I left my ex in 1999 I moved out bc he refused to, even though I paid the rent owned all the furniture etc.. I couldn't go to my family 'cos they weren't in a position to help me, so I took my boys and went to a refuge for 6 weeks. It was hard and a helluva struggle, but I hung in there and focused on getting our lives better.
I ended up getting a great job, saved money, got our own place and have never looked back.
She can do the same - all it takes is for her to realise and learn that the only person who could help her, is herself.

That's exactly what it is. She's too used to people coming to her rescue. I thought she had hit rock bottom last time when she was sleeping in her car for a few weeks. Apparently not. Her lazy ass boyfriend was supposed to go take the written test for his license yesterday, but of course he didn't because he's a lazy fuck.
I swear SD24 has to be the brokest stripper in the universe. She's been back since last Thursday, and she has only worked ONE day. I refuse to help out lazy people anymore, and she's just proving that she hasn't changed no matter what she says.
No matter what, I'm sticking to my guns on this one.
I'm pretty sure it is housing
I'm pretty sure it is housing discrimination to not allow someone to live somewhere because of their familial status. In fact, I heard TWO separate commercials on the radio on the way to work today.
Of course, that is not YOUR problem and probably just a lie that SD came up with because she figures she's got her mom snowballed.
We've actually told SD28 this
We've actually told SD28 this as well, but of course she just ignores us. I think the real reason is she really doesn't want SD24 staying with her and is now making excuses, even though she initially said it was okay.
